It won't be that great.

60 dollar price tag is a bit high too for what it will be.

It is unfortunately taking the dark souls/sekiro approach for combat which it probably would have been better off with a Fallout combat style since you are using ranged weapons like guns and robots.

The question being - what do you do with 'sword swings' and melee...

So, hard to do a mixed bag thing here.

Skip to 22minutes to see the combat. This is what I mean by a bad choice.

Combat like this suggests you should go ranged unless you have a build that makes you invul -- see borderlands play styles of AMARA.

Well tbf they only have like 20 devs apparently and definitely dont have the budget/man power insomniac does. From the looks of things seems like they tried to be too overambitious with the open world route, should have made levels or zones.




But the melee combat looks a bit fun, but yeah, on cohhs stream it does look rough. Probably good to wait out a few patches.

You have not played this or the upcoming Ratchet and Clank game though.

Ratchet and Clank looks like its going more for the third-person platformer genre.

Combat is what matters the most since 50% of the game is going to be your furry battling other furrys. 30% will be walking endlessly through the world of replicated trees. 10% will be reading dialogue. 5% crafting crap or trying to figure out how to craft. 5% doing other stuff.

I am sure the title screen matters a lot for the furries of the world they gotta J/O to something.

Yeah, problem is some of these smaller companies try to chase the aaa model despite their limited budget and manpower and then just end up spreading themselves too thin. It wants to be an action game, an rpg game, an open world game, have dialogue trees. They start to lose focus.

I feel like this game has been talked about for many years, yet it doesn't look that impressive to me. If people are raving about it at release I'll give it a look but I am not even going to bother watching another trailer or gameplay vid at this point.

Curious? Yeah.

I probably won't be buying this game for a while either way but it was never going to be a full price purchase for me. As others have said, it looks far too ambitious and seems that the dev team pushed past their capabilities.

I lost a lot of hype after watchin streamers play it, maybe its just the tutorial (it drags a lot) but doesn't look as impressive as i thought it would be.

Also heard IGN review leaked and they gave it a 6/10

I mean if you're playing on PC, greenmangaming has it for $45 which isn't that bad.
