If it weren't for this outrageous healthcare system we wouldn't have had the GOAT TV show Breaking Bad.
Meanwhile over here we're paying 50 euros a month and that's got you covered all the way from broken bone to heart surgery, eye surgery and stem cell transplant lmao at UScelsLast edited by teodorkanev1; 05-14-2021 at 02:51 PM.

This. Medicaid patients use the ER at twice the rate of people with private insurance. Financial disincentives like copay are hard to enforce, as the patient has to be seen anyway. Also, some practitioners argue that these copays are unethical, as it may force medicaid patients with legitimate emergencies to avoid the ER.
TBH, I’ve known people with private insurance who have avoided the ER due to copays, though that gets less attention.I've been seeing the past in one eye and the present in the other. So, I thought I could only see patches of reality, never the whole picture. I felt like I was watching a dream I could never wake up from. Before I knew it, the dream was over.

Healthcare has been bought up by hedge funds in the last 15 years that realized they can change whatever they want and people have no recourse (srs).
Source: I am an anesthetist and work in healthcare and talk to everyone in the hospital.
This single problem will destroy our country completely. Mark my words. They can literally charge you whatever they want because you HAVE to get the service and then if you can’t pay they ruin your credit completely.

bro if you're going to the doctor's to get bottomed out you have nobody to blame but yourself when the bill comes.
on-topic I've been fortunate enough to not have to deal with all the things described ITT, but I do think it's real fcked up when I go to a doctor's for a routine exam and they charge me/my insurance like $200+ for the visit. Even if they didn't do anything, and the ****gy tiem doctor just referred me to a specialist (even though he could have taken care of it) they still charge $200.

there's so much built into everything.. it's hard to fathom
was just thinking about this as we were charging a customer today. every little piece for every item to cover costs, then you have van gas/ travel/ insurance, all the tools and items in there (to cover potential problems) insurances on every side (van insurance, workers insurance, item insurance, etc., etc.). like god damn.. labor costs on top of that
convinced this may solely be due to overpopulation. cause it means we have to keep creating jobs for people so little trivial chit is itemized and commoditized and chit gets expensive
