An amendment that would have lowered the federal voting age from 18 to 16 as part of the H.R. 1 voting rights package failed to pass the House on Wednesday but received support from a majority of House Democrats.

The measure brought by Representatives Ayanna Pressley of Massachusetts, Grace Meng of New York, and Jan Schakowsky of Illinois failed in a 125-302 vote, with 125 Democrats voting in favor of the amendment and 93 Democrats voting against it, according to C-SPAN.

We know the Justice department isn't friendly to people like Gaetz so if had something that wouod nail him to the wall he probably be gone by now. They still might but the longer it drags on, it makes me think it putters out.

I know the lefties here are pretending to be these bastions of sainthood, but a wealthy guy in his mid thirties trying to bang young girls between 18-21 isnt really shocking. The difference between banging a 17yo who said she was an adult versus an 8 year old is huge. Calling him paedo is actually quite damaging. We should absolutely make that distinction between a slightly underage girl vs a prepubescent child. It may seem trivial but its not, its insult to real child victims to not draw that distinction.
