if they were old enough I would. Just like you'd hand your son a beer if they were old enough, absolutely nothing wrong with a little bit of weed.
No one has ever died from weed in history, meanwhile close to 100K people die a year from alcohol alone in the US.
Tons of men beating their wives when drunk, street fights after hours when bars are closing up, insane amounts of health problems it causes.

There’s are a lot of irrelevant points about whether or not marijuana is healthy, good, bad, horrible, etc.
Tucker successfully derailed an argument that should only be about one thing and made it entirely about being a productive/good citizen/not corrupting children.
The one thing legalization has and should always be about is whether or not the government should have a say in what you do recreationally with substances that are less than or equally as dangerous as what is currently available.
I personally want those decisions at the federal level as much as I want Biden to put together my grocery list.Last edited by Evlve; 05-11-2021 at 09:40 AM.

You sound completely unhinged. Just because you're a ******* who can't handle a high and leverage it to success doesn't mean it's across the board some plot to dumb everyone down. Cannabis can be used in a myriad of ways to replace dangerous prescriptions. You sound like a complete lunatic.
Cannabis, kratom, and coffee are all basically on the same level. If you think cannabis is so terrible you best not be drinking coffee, smoking cigs, drinking booze, or taking ritalin or any other Big Pharma bullsh!t. No supplements, no processed food. Go completely clean or shut the fuk up, hypocrite. And you just ignore the fact the endocannabinoid system exists within our bodies specifically to take in the benefits of weed, which proves your rant inane and retarded. I hate communism, not sure how it applies here, ya *******.

Actual libertarian crew checking in.
Weed should be legal.
OJ should be legal.
Prostitution should be legal.
Basically anything that is a personal decision that doesn't affect others should be legal.
Government should not be in the business of telling private citizens what they can and cannot do.
Our founding fathers would be ashamed of those that think otherwise. srs.
It has been proven time and time again, that when things are made illegal, they do not go away, they just go underground. Power is put into the hands of criminals and chit gets dangerous.
I normally like Tucker, but fuark him and his conspiracy theory.
If you want the real reason it's illegal, look no further than the pharmaceutical companies. It was pretty funny hearing Tucker say that they want to profit. Big Pharma doesn't want weed legal because you can't patent natural occurring substances.
It's the same reason they lobbied to have OJ banned: They would rather have you use their patented drugs.Misc Entrepreneur Crew

The negative/detrimental effects are from when you abuse it, which is the same deal as with lots of things (like food).
There's a ocean sized difference between packing a full bowl and ripping it out of a bong 5x a day and smoking a little one hitter chillum pipe once or twice a day, just like alcoholics vs regular drinkers**MFC**

The thing is. 50% of the population is below a nation's average IQ.
Those people can drive.
We have enough problems with those people handling alcohol and prescription drugs.
Do i think you should get locked away for possessing weed? No, thats silly. But i think there should be strict requirements on who can and cannot purchase weed (and alcohol). It should be required to scan an ID to buy these, with the option to bar some people from buying.
- DUI? Banned from purchasing for 'x' amount of time.
- on govt assistance (besides disability)? Barred from purchasing.

I'm aware of the difference. If you're one of those people who can keep it under control to where it doesn't impact your life in a negative way, good for you, but I'd say you're in the minority of smokers. My personal experience is that most people can't restrict themselves to occasional use and instead just rationalize being stoners with a lot of the arguments posted itt. Truthfully I've never met anyone who's been puffing for any length of time that wasn't a daily smoker. Most of them spend an obscene amount of money on the stuff while always being broke to the point where they have to wait for pay day just to put gas in their cars but funnily they ALWAYS seem to have money for their baggie

False. I smoke once or twice a month.
Either way, weed becomes habitual for many *because* it’s so much less harmful, whereas drinking every day will incapacitate you. Even smoking weed daily is better than binge drinking on weekends like tens of millions of people do.
What’s wrong with getting high? Are we supposed to be terrified of people eating Cheetos and watching Spongebob?

Have no issue with weed, but the criminalization of it is def rooted in some racism against Mexicans and Natives if I remember correctly over a century ago. It's laughable that alcohol is a normal accepted part of modern America and no one has an issue with it, but weed is thought of as being a super dangerous drug

Former pothead checking in.
Legalization is definitely inevitable, and hard to argue against IMO.
However, I was very very unproductive when i was a pothead. While it's not directly harmful to others, Tuckers point (which may be exaggerated), of population control/it zapping people of motivation is very much a real thing.
I wasted a lot of time getting high, and what people don't realize when they say "it's not addictive bro", is that while it doesn't necessarily have addictive properties as a drug itself, its intake method where you get high within 10 seconds of smoking it, does become an addictive sensation. Smoking and almost immediately losing stress can become pretty addictive. Those that have the will power, good for you.
Again, I think it should be legal, but we maybe need to re-educate ourselves on it. As the 60's campaign (or whenever it was), that made it seem like the worst drug ever, and then now the new age that think there's nothing wrong with it, are both very far from the truth IMO.

Up front disclaimer: I don't personally smoke (though I have tried it) and i think it should be legal because I don't really care if other people smoke it. It's not for me and I have a number of reasons why but it being legal or illegal doesn't mean I need to partake. Legalize it.
That disclaimer being said the above is just outright ****ing naivety in its purest form. If you don't think that after legalization (and honestly already) a number of hit and runs, shootings, etc occur while people are high you're our of your fukking mind. Anything that lowers your inhibitions and alters your state of mind has the same overall impact on a population. 100k die from alcohol includes drunk driving and other things of that nature. They don't actively track these numbers for weed nationwide (that I found from a quick Google search), but even in Colorado, they saw a surge in DUI post-legalization, and the increase wasn't from alcohol, but from weed.
It's very naive to think that weed has never been at the root of a single death. Go away, stoner.***Mariah Carey is my 10/10 Crew***

The point is banning weed is dumb, and government has no business doing it. The Drug War has literally destroyed the American family. Prohibition was a big disaster in the 20s before they ended it.
It's just funny to watch people who support celltech, alcohol, and prescription meds, whining about weed.6'3 Master Race

Me and my friends went on holiday to Amsterdam. As you do when you're there, we smoke a lot of marijuana. We were dopey and lazy as fk, so lazy we couldn't be bothered to explore Amsterdam, lol.
My friends who smoke pot will be the first to say it doesn't affect them, yet you can blatantly tell they look like a pothead, lol.
I'm for legalising it, but I think marijuana is for dumb potheads.
