Good for him.
Tebow seems like a great guy.

Pros:
- good hands
- high football IQ
- trick play where he throws or bait other team into thinking hes throwing
- probably cheap
- jags dont have 3 elite tight ends anyways so why not
- sell tix/hype
- good locker room presence
- emergency qb sub/can carry 1 less backup qb
cons
- prob not gonna work out
- undersized/weight (?)
- new position
if it doesnt work out can just cut him and add someother scrub
so why notI dont give a f*ck about a b*tch on the internet

I think Tebow is a great athlete and person in general. The charity work he does is just amazing, but it sounds like he may be missing the spotlight or maybe just getting his name back in the headlines to revive his visibility and generate more revenue for his charitable activities.
At 33 it is too late to fulfill his NFL potential as a tight end. He has the ability but needs to learn a completely different skill set. He would have had a very successful NFL career as a tight end if he listened to Josh McDaniels years ago when he brought him to NE with the purpose of converting him to TE, even giving him significant pre season opportunity at QB to prove he did not have the skills to play NFL QB but could make a great TE.

He's taking a spot that someone that's actually played the position all his life could have.
Good hands? Show me tape of him catching footballs...
High football IQ? In college?
So he's going to take a spot to be a gimmick player when they need good, solid TEs?
Yes, he'll have to be cheap.
Because they could've gotten a TE in the draft or signed UDFA TEs.
Yes, he's going to sell tickets. That's the only serious upside.
His locker room presence is going to be bad.
Teams have backup QBs for a reason.
He's a terrible NFL QB. He never found another QB job because he was that bad, and he was too stubborn to change positions when he was still young. His locker room presence will probably be bad. All these young guys that worked their asses off to get to the NFL and this old guy gets a job because his coach won with him in college over 10 years ago?

all you did was post the other side of the coin of everything I posted its really not that big of a deal. All i did was post what I assume they see in him. Seems like your big gripe is some scrub te that was never going to stick around anyways lost out on a spot on the 1 win jaguars because of gimmick tebow? thats life son. Ultimately they care more about selling tixs then winning since they tanked so hard.

I 100% agree with the life isn't fair statement, but this is going to be a gimmick thing just to sell tickets.
No, I didn't just post the other side. Seriously, show me where he has good hands, good football IQ at the NFL level, etc. You just said some things that make no sense is all.
You call other TEs that've played all their lives scrubs but not Tebow, who has never played TE?
"Jags don't have 3 elite TEs so why not?" Most teams don't have 3 elite TEs but none other than Tebow's former coach even considered it recently. It screams favoritism and won't go down well in the locker room.
Meyer has already made a ridiculously stupid decision that backfired in his face that, I'm sure, had players questioning him as a coach. This will be no different.
You can take a chance on a player like Antonio Gates, someone that never played TE, when they're young and have lots of time to develop and learn, but Tebow is 33 and the team isn't in a win now situation.
I'll admit it if I get proven wrong, but I just don't see how he'll be a successful TE.AcetylCoA gets reps

He was better than about 10-12 of the other starting QBs in the NFL when he left the 49ers. Don't pretend the owners and alt right miscers didn't want that dude out of the NFL
LMAO... the vast majority of NFL players have more in common, and respect Kap more than they do Tebow. WTF is Tebow gonna tell anyone in the league about what it takes to be great lol. Most people in that locker room would look at him crazy if he tried to be motivational at all to them.. like know your place old man, you're here because your college coach feels bad for you
