There's a truck driver shortage, so one Texas company is offering experienced drivers $14K a week
....
"And it's not just going to be gasoline. It's not going just going to be wood. You're talking about all your retail goods just like clothing, food, toilet paper, you name it," said Jim Grundy who is the CEO and owner of Sisu Energy.

Truck driver shortage is a real issue for Northeast Ohio business that could soar prices
Supply Chain issues can cause a slow down of the economy and a truck driver shortage could be a trigger.

Nationwide truck driver shortage could increase prices for consumers
And yes - maybe a gas shortage also

Coming this summer: Gas stations running out of gas
A shortage of tanker truck drivers could cause stations to run out of gas
Not that there's a looming shortage of crude oil or gasoline. Rather, it's the tanker truck drivers needed to deliver the gas to stations who are in short supply.
According to the National Tank Truck Carriers, the industry's trade group, somewhere between 20% to 25% of tank trucks in the fleet are parked heading into this summer due to a paucity of qualified drivers. At this point in 2019, only 10% of trucks were sitting idle for that reason.
"We've been dealing with a driver shortage for a while, but the pandemic took that issue and metastasized it," said Ryan Streblow, the executive vice president of the NTTC. "It certainly has grown exponentially."
Indeed, drivers left the business a year ago when gasoline demand ground to a near halt during the early pandemic-related shutdowns.

Truck driver shortage could fuel spike in gas prices
Economists warn that fueling up could be challenging as millions of people return to the roads
On another note we currently have 16 million people being paid unemployment, and 12 million currently getting extended federal unemployment.

Businesses better hope people’s wages keep up. That’s all I’m gonna say lmao.
There’s gonna be a whole lot of inventory and no buyers as people cut out non essentials or consume less.
The end result of this unrestrained money printing scheme should be epic if all goes to plan.
We’re going to have consumers getting hammered, not being able to keep up with prices, while the stock market sky rockets.
The housing market is another giant joke. The bubble isn’t being allowed to burst with payment moratoriums, while rising lumber prices are adding ridiculously large amounts to an already inflated asset.

The wages to cost of goods ratio will remain exactly the same- consumers will eat all of these wage inflation cost.
We could in this madness in two weeks by immediately stopping all the extra BS added “safety nets” for unemployment - and stimulus spending."It's astounding it's not worse than it is."

Some are doing under that table cash rides and still getting unemployment- or working as an independent business exploiting PPP and other forgivable loans avenues.
Visit a busy truck stop and talk to them. They’ve done a pretty good job communicating with each other on how to game the system.

People have no idea, we havent even begun to see inflation yet. Our money will soon be neutered, there is no way around it.
If you havent realized the govt (Fed) os purposely collapsing our dollar to destroy our economy and us with it, then youre blissfully unaware of The Great Reset.
Unimaginable suffering is coming to the West, and there is no stopping it. The money printers see it as their destiny.
Printing trillions+ coming lockdowns= economy crushed for good this time
USD worthless+economy tanked=opp to usher in the digital ISD and enslave us all
One mans opinion.

The law of unintended consequences.
Moratoriums must end. People staying on enhanced unemployment for over a year has to end. Keeping mortgage rates so low, thus inflating a bubble has to end. Probably only the enhanced unemployment will end this year though. The can keeps getting kicked down the road.Light weight! Light weight baby!!!!

Are you aware that there are people in this world that have a severe medical condition which causes them to be that way? My mother for instance is one of those people. She is a truck driver that has bad knees and a bad back from driving the truck but you probably do not care about that case either. Oh well I am not one of those people I am 6'4" 245lbs and I exercise every day. I would love to see you say something like to my mother in front of me. Probably never happen though you are probably just an internet tough guy. I doubt very seriously you would say that to someones face. Just my thought. What do you think. Oh I am sorry you probably do not have a brain. I on the other hand will be happy to buy you a plane ticket to come here and see if you have the nerve to say that to someone I know.

Price increases will continue for needed things. But IMO other items, as dispensable income drops (no more stimulus + rising prices), items that can't support higher prices won't go up. I think you'll see deals come this black friday and next year on things as our economy cools off. Things seem hot now but its mostly stimulus. Rising prices is somewhat due to supply chains unable to quickly come back on line, energy/shipping increases. I can see them ramping up too much and as stimulus runs out, all this excess inventory builds. Then as everything cost more to make (because they rushed it with the canal backup and to get going again post covid), prices will be higher and less will sell. Then general cool down of the economy. But some areas will still do well. Mostly what people need, like food and other essentials.

My business partner and I just had a meeting about this. Product prices are going through the roof. We are paying hundreds of dollars more per pallet of product. Take that times a few semi loads every few weeks. We are pretty well established and in our industry we don't have to employ a lot of people but it's crazy to see prices increase by $20-30k every few weeks.
