this is something I’ve noticed a lot
A lot of the preppy, hippy or cookie cutter/npc chicks are always really into me and show me the most affection
A lot of my cute lays have been this type
On the other hand ...
Alot of the heavily tattooed , goth , punk , alt , etc type of chicks always treat me like I’m ugly or act stuck up and bitchy as ****
Could I have been trying to ****/ been going after the wrong type of chick this whole time ?
Life’s trippy I guess
Thoughts ?

I'd like to say so yes, people often are attracted to others who share common interests and those relationships tend to last the longest. However if we are speaking in general terms/in physical terms, yes opposites do attract. Feminine women love masculine and vice versa, anyone else saying different is a liar. Women don't want to be treated as equals - that doesn't mean being treated like chit. What that means is women like a guy who can make decisions and "drive the car" while they are passengers during the journey. Women don't like men who behave like them, women don't like it when a guy agrees with everything they say, they like a guy who can oppose.
If you agree with everything she says, she's now the driver and she doesn't want to be the driver...
Women often date guys who are similar to them, because guys who are similar to them are often who they interact with the most. But looks can be decieving.6 inch wrist gang

No, that's one of the biggest fallacies in dating/marriage.
Opposites don't attract, just dumb people myopically focusing on their differences. The billionaire and the beggar both have 24 hours in a day.

Research has debunked the opposites attract myth. People are in fact more drawn to those more similar to them. Whether it be for friendship or romantic relationships. It's why interracial relationships only dominates your television rather than real life. People are tribal at their core and will stick with their pack. The more you have in common the easier it is to build a strong bond to someone else. Being opposite puts additional strain on any relationship, whether friendship or romantically. Can opposites be together? Absolutely. Both parties are going to work harder to establish that connection, and also probably maintain it, but there's also something to be said for investing a lot of time and effort into someone else. The longer you've been forced to collide and spend time with someone who is opposite of you the more likely it will be things will work out with them. But in a vacuum, similar trumps opposite.
"One day I won't be able to lift any more. Not I won't want to lift. I mean physically unable. That day could be decades from now or it could be tomorrow. All I know is that's the day I'll wish I could lift more than ever. The day I'd give anything for one more workout, one more set, or one more cardio session. So go hard and enjoy every workout, every set, every rep. Because one day you will wake up and you will never get it back."

LOL well obviously as it applies to sexual characteristics and traits.
Beyond that though let me run a few obvious similarities for almost all couples:
Religion (or lack thereof)
Political party
Socioeconomic status/class
Education
Beliefs
Upbringing
Those are easy ones that are like umbrellas which can be further broken down, right off the top of my head.
Pretty obvious answers when you're not busy like "hurr durr she likes chocolate ice cream and my favorite is vanilla".The billionaire and the beggar both have 24 hours in a day.

There's about a million sources on this stuff in the field of personality social science
I pulled a random one here. It may not be the best, but there's too many to shift through to bother
https://www.tandfonline.com/doi/abs/...5.1973.9922650
With a 2 × 2 factorial design based upon two levels of personality similarity (.20 and .80) and two levels of subjects' classification as to sex, it was found that personality similarity influenced attraction (p < .002), and that male and female subjects evaluated a same-sex stranger in precisely the same way (F < 1.00)."One day I won't be able to lift any more. Not I won't want to lift. I mean physically unable. That day could be decades from now or it could be tomorrow. All I know is that's the day I'll wish I could lift more than ever. In terms of upbringing, values and general interests my wife and I are pretty similar. There are slight variations though, Ie...I like sports, but nothing consequential. In terms of personality we're very different. I'm extremely extroverted while she's very quiet and reserved. She can have a good time with people, but don't expect her to say a whole lot unless she knows you. Whereas if we're hanging out, we're getting yucky, gonna talk chit and have a good time.
