    Arch Nemesis Bar - bellsofsteel.com

    Experts,
Thinking to buy this for Canada as not many options here in Canada.
This seems to be having good spec but looking for your thoughts if it is ok for this price.
One issue is that it does not have knurling handles but of course its price speaks.
Any other issue you think i should be worried?

It seems quite long. Make sure it fits between your uprights.

My squat/bench rack is exactly 48 inches wide meaning those supports are 48 inches wide. Looking at its spec, it may be too tight for my rack but thinking if i can try it out as seems they have good return policy in worst case.

No doubt you're going to pay return shipping so keep that in mind. It won't be cheap. I wouldn't get a bar that wouldn't fit my rack. You should be able to get the exact measurements and be sure. I'd contact BoS to verify.

Yes, i called them and they said they pay for any return shipping cost also if so.
And, attaching pics from their site/spec. Looks like it comes to 1280 mm (50 inches) which I guess its going to be too close/narrow to keep on rack then...

The diagram you posted says it will fit fine. The part you put plates on goes outside the rack.

thanks. Price looks super-high considering that it has no knurling. Not even sure why they are making these without a basic knurling. let me spend more time now....
to be honest, the curved ones look attractive to me rather than straight bars...

You gotta buy what you like. Just giving you options. Didn't realize they were not knurled. I have no idea if it is the same bar as BoS but there was a video posted on here showing the curved bar having some stability issues.

Much appreciated if someone can point me to that stability issues post please as I tried & can't find one here. May be I am looking at wrong search?

I have the bar and am quite happy with it. It is very comfortable benching press work and has a slim profile so you can use for overhead press as well. It is very lightweight. It fits fine in a Titan T-3 rack. I don't think the lack of knurling is a big issue on this type of bar personally.

Is that not a benefit considering I lift max of 40 kgs weight plates?
I mean personally I prefer not-too-heavy bars so I can move freely and also good for shoulder press, etc..
But your thoughts please..May be I'm missing something

The lighter weight usually means they used a thinner metal. The bar may be less durable or have a lower maximum load.
