i think it's over for him
he's trying. he's trying to get young guys over. he's still well above average on the mic but...there's no magic. hasn't been any for a while.
its crazy because a year, two years ago, this guy was at the top of the game. yea his work rate slipped but he was still innovating.
now when i look at him, it's like watching vince neil tying to rock a crowd in the current day.
he gets gassed after cutting an emotional promo these days
his current run is probably over after next week. i think his band is supposed to go on tour this spring/summer so mjf is prolly gonna brutalize him on the way out.

Chris Jericho will always have name recognition and will always Be a Draw but....

He stayed over for so long cause he kept coming up with new gimmicks and going all in (the list, simply walking out without a word). He may be great at his job, but noone can stay over for decades by just being there no matter how great he is onb the mic. In AEW he has mostly been himself and led his stable.
To stay over he'd need to do something new and unique like he has always done in the past.

I haven't overly cared about him since the early 2000s tbh.
When I grew up watching him he was cool AF, during end WCW and up until winning the undisputed.
After that he was just a joke on WWE who would always talk a big game then lose in any big fued he had. It became a running joke with him these massive shock returns and he would soon be jobbing again.
Nowadays he looks like a washed up 70s rock star. Idk what happened to his physique but his body looks absoloutley beat, I mean consider he's only a couple years older than edge, who still looks good.
I'll always enjoy his prime years stuff but for me I could never take him serious past about 2003. Props to him for going as long as he has but he's becoming Ric Flair now, and not in a good way

Thing is, he loves the gig. As long as he is around there will be a draw. However, he needs to do like Sting and help put over the younger guys. Jericho is great on the mic and can cut promos and do great spots but dude, let the younger fellas have the spotlight.

All he needs is a reset. he's been consistently the focus of AEW since the first episode. if he took a break and gave some tv time to other people for awhile and came back he'd be forgiven and celebrated. less is more in prowrestling especially with established stars.
People paid to see hogan wrestle on ppv in wwf..then hated to see him on every wcw program for free every week

Jericho needs to get in shape.
DDP Yoga, Celltech, anything at this point...
He was in great shape with "The List" gimmick, but fell off completely for his AEW debut.
Cody Rhodes and management need to sit him down and talk straight to him. Get him on some sort of program.
Go away for 6 months, come back with a new body and new gimmick.
He can still draw.**Misc. Pureblood Crew**
**Misc. 2022 Shutdown Survivor (Nov 11 - 14)**
