Why does L-Arginine make your breath smelly?

If you type into Google "how to boost HGH" or "top bodybuilding supplements", L-Arginine is near the top of the list, along with Creatine etc.

Has anybody noticed how L-Arginine (in supplement form) makes your breath smelly? (Kinda like horsesh*t.) Odd...


Thoughts?

arginine is supposed to improve oral health actually so I'm not sure what's going on but that being said it's really not going to do a whole lot for HGH since it has poor bioavailability

Hey, have you tried any fruit punch flavors in it, As far i know it is scientifically base composition and taste like soap water, but you can add fruit syrup in very small amount to make it taste better.

It's not the taste. I eat veg now and then, so I'm ny immature about taste. Rather, it's the smell that happarently occurs following the apparent reaction with whatever our mouths produce lol

IIRC any studies backing that were +40g doses by IV and not ingested orally. Also, they were very old.

If you're a young adult and your GH levels are lower, then oral ingested supplements may indeed sometimes work - I can certainly attest to some working, especially pure citrulline (not malate), which also clear up my throat and returns my voice to normal as well as supplements strength training and boosts energy.

The hell am I supposed to get vials of Argine and needles from, motherf*cker?! Hahahahahaha

Supplementing citrulline and l-arginine are two different things. Personally I took it as you taking l-arginine. IIRC people supplementing large doses of l-arginine were prone to getting cold sores, but it's been years since anyone has pushed l-arginine powder on the forums.
