    do u have to bleed the abs system after replacing master cylinder?

    i'm getting mine replaced and wondering if mechanics can also bleed the abs system like the dealers?

    You should at least do a gravity bleed of the whole system if you'd be doing something like that. However I'm sure most dealers and any respectable shop should be able to do a pressurized bleed from the master cylinder when it's put back on.

    Edit- reread what you wrote. The ABS is in line with the braking system, so a gravity bleed or a pressurized bleed from the master cylinder would essentially bleed the ABS module too.

    Brake master can be bench bled, but if they can do the whole system then might as well do a brake fluid flush/bleed.
    Don't hit at all if it is honorably possible to avoid hitting; but never hit softly.
