You can get involved with the party, and influence it’s direction - or be one of the annoying hecklers in the back of the stands on the sideline complaining about everything going to chit.
Your choice.
I choose keep driving - don’t sit back - never quit
Gop has qualities within - gotta help those stay at the surface.
Trash? I don’t think so- some rough edges for sure.
If it is trash- I’d rather dig through and find the good stuff vs swim in the septic pond known as the Dems.

Ted Cruz would be a great choice. He was my guy before Trump won the nomination. Consitutiinalist who disagrees with cancel/woke culture and can debate his ass off.
Ron Desantis has star power. Really elevated himself during the pandemic.
Trump is still the most popular Republican in history and despite his personality faults leaves little to be desired when it comes to policy.
Any 3 of these is a great choice to lead the GOP in 2024.

Bloomberg wrote about this not too long ago. China's political/economic model is going to win out once they surpass America.
Democracies all over the world are losing strength due to the massive amounts of wealth inequality that are taking place.
When you read economists like Michael Hudson you really do appreciate China's system, and it's superiority over Western neoliberalism.
Capitalism/Democracy are reactionary ideas at this point."I am a rational animal who occupies the intermediary position between angel and beast"
"The upper class is afforded their position by the collective burden the underclass must carry for them"

I really hope you're not suggesting that China's brutally oppressive Marxist scam totalitarianism is one we should strive to be.
and LOL @ talking wealth inequality while upholding China. Are you unaware that China has the second most billionaires behind the US and soon to surpass the US in that # ... while also having a mass of a billion poor labor slaves living in small rooms in a million tall buildings all across the country?
It's not going to be allowed here.

There were two prominent Trump staffers who were interviewed about their experience in pushing the America First agenda in 2017. They talk about how they received pushback from the GOP itself at nearly every turn.

Some of you are completely delusional as to why Biden won and why GOP looks lost. Just like you are delusional as to why Trump beat Hillary in '16. Ultimately it is because neither Republican alt-right nor Democrat progressives can possibly dominate American politics for long by clinging to their most loyal base. The question of who becomes POTUS is still determined by the moderate working class. Biden ran on that ticket and built a strong coalition within his own party. He won simply by winning over the independents who are largely moderate middle class Americans. Trump ran on being the voice of a neglected working class in places such as Michigan while Hillary spent her days chillin with celebrities and elites. The question is if Biden can do enough for the working class to hang on to them or will he, just like Trump, drop the ball? Biden right now is talking the right talk - unions, infrastructure, made in America, taxing corporations, etc. Will he deliver is what will make or break him, just like the case for Trump.
And I need to mention that Trump wasn't voted out because liberalism took over America. He was riding a very good wave until Coronavirus hit. He completely messed up the response and turned it into a issue of party warfare instead of showing leadership. His dumbass statements didn't help neither. Biden on the other hand sat back and watched Trump sabotage himself. But I do not agree at all that Trump sabotaged the GOP so much that that memory alone will kill GOP hopes in 2024. It is all about what Biden does.
