So i calculated up my total bars
My goal is to have 42 total bars, and i have 2 potential ones i have in mind, so id like opinions for a final bar
My only no nos are
No curl bars (quite happy with my iron grip curls and promaxima preacher benches)
No eleiko open trap or trap bars period. I quite like my rickshaw. I have farmer walks i am trying to sell so not counting those.
I do have a yoke but i am not sure it should count as a 'bar' lol.
I do have a strange 5 or 6 sided handle olympic bar. I have absolutely no idea who made. There was a thread with a guess but i cant recall what was said in it. So not counting it.
Here is my bar list, i realize all of the 8 ft bars are all specialty bars and should go in that category prob but it sounded cool to have a 8 ft bar category lol.
A duffalo is a possibility but i have a ironmind buffalo bar so i am not sure i need it. I dont really wanna splurge for 2 ultra expensive bars since 1 of the final ones i want is a marrs bar.
Someone let me know an idea i havent thought of for a final bar

I've literally got nothing to add. Great bar collection. MGM is another forum bar guru with experience across a variety so hopefully he stops by.

Haven't been able to "rep" many of you for a year or more...not for lack of trying.

That's a pretty good list, but if I had to give my opinion, here's what I'd add...
Squat Bar: Iron Wolfe, this was the best of the list. It's a rare bird, but if one comes up, it's worth getting.
Curl Bar: I would add the rackable Ivanko curl bar, that and the Iron Grip bars were the best of the group.
28mm: I think one needs to have at least one Eleiko WL bar, comp bar if you can afford it.
Specialty:
Kadillac Bar and EliteFTS Cambered FB Bar are two I would really consider. I would just say the Kadillac, but you can't really flip it over and do reverse camber pressing with it, and that's where the EliteFTS Cambered FB Bar takes over, so I could make a case for both or either.
Gorilla Strength knurled Axle over the Rogue, it's knurled and way heavier duty, May also make the CFF knurled Fat Bar off the list as well, but that's actually a pretty nice little bar for the price.
Marrs Bar for sure needs to be on this list, it's my favorite specialty squat/good morning bar.
Transformer Bar or Spider Bar, while I know the TB could make a few of the bars replaceable, it does do a low camber Spider type of setting if you wanted to go that route, or, just get the rackable Spider from Edge or EliteFTS.
Last one I'd add to the list would be one of the Bandbell RhinoFlex bars, you can sort of get an Earthquake bar type of experience as well as the typical flex from standard training. These bars are just unique and if you want to have a complete arsenal of bars, this should be on the list.

Is the Gorilla Strength knurled axle bar still in production? A quick Google search only turned up a non-knurled version.
I'm also curious why you would want a knurled axle bar. Might provide a little better feel for pressing but my impression is that pulling with an axle bar is mainly about increasing grip strength and knurl seems counterproductive. That said, I have a non-knurled axle bar that doesn't get much use so I'm not exactly a huge proponent of non-knurled axle work either.

It is, it's a custom job, you just have to ask for it. It's not cheap, I want to say it's about $250 shipped, by comparison, I got my CFF knurled Fat Bar for $140 shipped, but that was pre-pandemic. For me personally, I only use fat bars for pressing and variation for rows. I never pull with one, ever. Largest diameter bar I will pull with is my FUBar which is 1.5in I believe, anything larger for me is really pointless and does nothing for any of my lifts.

I appreciate the thoughts mgm but i literally said no curl bars lol. I had a 4 ft ivanko curl bar and traded it. Might sell the york curl but its not bad. Havent decided.
I dont think i need another squat bar. Not sure the iron wolfe would be that much better than the texas squat bar (same with duffalo vs buffalo). Transformer bar i think is not gonna be as good as replacing the many diff squat bars i already have.
The cff axle bar is knurled.
Earthquake type bar is one i know but didnt think of when making this list (dont make lists at night lol).
Eleiko bar i considered but then what about all the diff oly bars i have already?Last edited by matrix563; 04-19-2021 at 09:19 AM.

I'll submit a weird one for consideration, one that is getting used WAAAY more than I ever thought possible. The Titan Seal Row bar is good for rows, hammer curls, front squats, good mornings, and standing calf work.

I thought about that one. I have a magnum perfect squat 400 and a supercat i can use for standing squats and calf raises.
I also have a valor plate loaded mid row and a laying row station thats plate loaded . I think the buffalo or the multigrip bars have been shown as good for front squats. Heh▪█───────█▪ Equipment Crew #46 ▪█───────█▪

Here's one you don't have
https://www.bellsofsteel.us/product/sumo-deadlift-bar/
Useless unless you love to sumo deadlift. I own it and it's definitely a quality bar. I've fallen out of love with sumo deadlift but I'm keeping the bar regardless. It's really cool.

For a knurled 2" thick axle bar, go with Rob Heselton
Check out his instagram page @bighessstrength
It's the thick bar Donnie Thompson uses
I got the non-stainless one, but the stainless one looks badass (not sure if doing anymore because prices have risen quite a bit)
92" long and weighs 80 pounds
It's my press bar and incline press bar
Love it

I do not. I would contact StrongArm Sport and ask them. It's worth noting that they produce the bar and Bells of Steel is the US retailer. The tracking for my bar was interesting as it went from Canada to BoS in the US and then to me. Got lost for a bit as well but fortunately resurfaced and arrived with no damage.

I have too many bars myself, but almost all are specialty bars. Assuming I could get any ones I want (it's a pain up here), these are the ones I'd have for the 3 power lifts:
Squat:
32mm or more squat bar (long)
marrs bar
ssb (crepinsek of elitefts)
giant cambered bar (old westside or sam hell bully bar)
buffalo type bar (get a nice one)
BP:
29mm power bar
32mm power bar or use the squat bar
swiss/log bar (neutral grips)
football bar (angled grips)
2" fat bar (NOT a 1.9" axle. Actual 2" grip)
rhinoflex bar
earthquake bar (rehab/prehab)
cambered bar if my shoulders were 100%
shoulder saver bar if my shoulders were not 100%
DL:
DL bar
1.5" bar (fubar)
no trap bar, I'm not an old lady▪█──█▪ Equipment Crew #61 ▪█──█▪
