Guns where they don't belong?? You mean like all of these schools and military bases that are gun free zones and get shot up? Funny how so many shootings happen in areas where the bad guy knows there is a slim to zero chance of having to duck for return fire.

If you open carry but have the ability to get a concealed carry permit, you're basically just a peacock.

Among serious gun trainers and enthusiasts that I have brushed elbows with, it basically just reeks of no training and amateur status. You just make yourself a target.

Most regular people don't train enough to retain their handgun in case some idiot wants it. This includes cops too - they barely get enough training due to budget cuts and lowered standards as it is.

Best to conceal the fact that you are even armed so you are able to get the advantage of surprise when you finally do draw your handgun and so you don't get disarmed and killed with your own gun like a douchebag.

And since someone asked, I carry everywhere. Store, trail, church, you name it. Different handguns depending on what I'm wearing and what I'm doing. It has been incredibly rare that I have left my home without having a firearm on me for the past 14+ years or so.

Please excuse any dumb questions here as I'm from a non firearm carrying culture. Why the different guns? Why not a single small light one designed for the purpose like Glock 19 Gen4 9mm.

Understand comments on training, if you open carry and aren't super alerts + keep training current, it sounds like it could be used against you.

My Glock 23 is the same size as a Glock 19, but depending on where I'm going it doesn't always conceal well with the wardrobe. If you're just wearing a T-shirt or polo shirt, it prints a lot even if you use appendix carry. If you use a thinner and more compact handgun, like the Sig P365 SAS, it hides a lot better and is more comfortable to hike with. On the flip side, using a smaller handgun means you sacrifice some accuracy due to the grip. There's no right or wrong - this is just personal preference.

I usually carry S&W Shield, its smaller but still too big for wearing athleticwear w/out a good belt. So if I'm wearing really lightweight clothes I usually carry a tiny Ruger .380. It is awful to shoot, doesn't have much stopping power, but it is accurate enough w/in 6' which is the distance most SD shootings occur.

Apparently it's a thing for women to go run with a gun. Somebody just asked on Facebook what was the best holster when they go running.
I had no idea, here I have been walking alone in LA for years not being strapped. Oh well.

A sports bra and leggins would make CC challenging. I have not seen women exercising wear anything but leggings in years....Probably a belly band holster and a subcompact, if wearing a T-shirt.

They should make the holster pocket lower and more towards the center, that might help prevent any possible unwanted sexual advances. Especially if it was a larger revolver being carried like a 10.5" Super Redhawk.

No one getting mine, I’m constantly keeping my hands on mine along with pulling it out of the holster and practing my draws in front of everyone, typically everyone stays way clear of me!
