Ben was paid to throw that fight 100%. His physique was absolute trash, dude had love handles. Plus Jake somehow magically predicted before the fight that he would win by KO in the first round.

Didn't care, out of shape gut hanging out, didn't train for the fight (besides filming a few clips for mandatory promo), finished the fight in a first rounds with a help from a ref, walked out with his wife both smiling and laughing. He was shaky on his feet but he was walking towards jake to continue the fight. The ref just stopped it for no reason, that was a BS stoppage. He still would have gotten dropped again but that isnt the point, if he wants to continue and is capable of continuing you let them fight.

It's likely that Ben knew he would take the L anyways but are the same time Jake obviously was going hard after Ben for real.

As for the punch it looked like it knocked Ben down for real but Ben could have continued if he wanted to. He's probably smiling since it got stopped earlier than what they planned (2-3b rounds? Who knows). Ben didn't take this seriously at all and he's said in a press conference that he doesn't care and has nothing to lose from this anyway.
