he was a top star and they buried him wcw with that stupid shark gimmick and had his funeral when he returned to wwf as Golga or something . why didn't vince McMahon just use his previous name earthquake he was a big star and didn't need the stupid gimmick and mask they made him wear

The oddities were weird.
I mean you had a big guy, who was a great worker in John Tenta and two giants, of whom at least Silva could somewhat move considering his MMA "career", but you turn them into jobbers with a dumb sideshow gimmick. Then you throw in a celebrity act and somehow get that over as faces despite them still being "ugly jobbers with a dance gimmick".
