House Democrats are barely holding onto their majority, with Rep.-elect Julia Letlow, R-La., set to be sworn in Wednesday morning.
Letlow will be joining the House in the seat originally won by her husband, Luke Letlow, who died in September from COVID-19 before he was supposed to be sworn in. Julia Letlow won a special election in March.

*Some reinforcements may soon be on the way, however, with Democrats favored in two of the three House special elections that will be held over the next two months.
If we're stuck with a two party system there should be equal numbers on both sides with no tie breaker. Make those fukkers work together.

You forget how much people fukking hated Trump. People I know who were apolitical before Trump went full TDS on social media. My mom is a lifelong republican and voted for him in 16, and Biden in 20. Her only justification was "he's a jerk."
Covid was the nail in the coffin. Despite handling it pretty well IMO (Warp Speed might be the most successful thing the government has done since the space program) the media continued to crucify him. Economy tanked, which was his lynchpin.
2020 wasnt a referendum on Republicans because as you said, they did pretty well. It was a referendum on Trump.MFC OG crew

The problem was his behavior and retarded statements during COVID. His administration put forth logical, science based guidelines during the pandemic. But then he would get up there during his pressers and talk like an idiot. He was giving the media gift wrapped quotable 24/7 to feast on. That's what turned a lot of people off. Acting like that, even when policy wise you're making decent/good moves, is going to make people hate you.
IMO if it weren't for COVID he would have won, but it would have still been way closer than it should have been. And a big part of that is due to his behavior as president.*Sit there and don't know what to do when people sing happy birthday to me crew*
