pretty much this.
he did take a live powerbomb on tv leading up to the match but who knows how his back was gimmicked? he was wearing the trench coat.
he comes out every week and cuts a promo and schiavone does the its stiiiing gimmick. is he good? i dont think so. he's not really serving much of a purpose besides bringing legit name value which i guess is a big thing. he's not really getting darby allin more over than he would be getting. it'll be cool if the kid turns on sting eventually.
now this douchebag lance archer has been calling him out recently.

I do remember feeling like there are supposed to be comparisons between Darby and young Sting. I seen that kid wrestle a bit and IMO him being the next Sting couldn’t be further from it. Young sting had the charisma, size and natural athleticism going for him . Maybe Darby makes up for what he lacks but sting was the perfect wrestler in his youth.

darby allin kinda sucks imo. his gimmick is about 15 (or more) years too late. his theme song is terrible. his finisher is one of the least believable finishers in wrestling. brb a 140 lb manlet is gonna fall backwards on me and its supposed to be devastating. i don't wanna hate on this kid but he makes finn balor look like fuking lashley. him being pushed as the face of tnt or whatever the fuk and having sting hold his nutsack for him every week is more pathetic to me than anything they ever did with orange cassidy.
anyway. i don't wanna be one of these crabby haters all the time. i'm sure he's a good kid. you're spot on about young sting though. he was huge, he was athletic, charismatic af and he developed into a fine worker. surfer sting was the perfect white meat babyface from a wrestling purist's standpoint.

One of the goat gimmicks, promo guys and influential wrestlers in history in the great Brian Pillman isn’t better than an episode of a never-was and never-could-have-been even if wwe gave him a real chance in Daniel puder?
Puder was nothing, he had no potential to be anything other than a cheap ass second rate Steve Blackman. He caught Angle ... almost.. but he’d be the worst most boring wrestler ever as far as lacking that It Factor.
2 hours on it I don’t know what they’d discuss for at least 115 minutes of such an episode.BLM (Brock Lesnar Matters)

I almost let this comment go. But I just can't. Dude you are nuts. Do you know anything of old school wrestling? I don't think so making a comment like that. This guy was amazing on the mic, an amazing a-hole, and man could he go. He never got pushed like he should have because he really was a loose cannon.
Brian deserved 2 hours without question. Puder was a snore fest, "I yell at the mic and knows krotty". Dude outlived his 15 minutes of fame on tv by 13 minutes.*Cardinals, Blues, Chiefs, MLS *

Lol at anyone who didn’t have heel Pillman as one of their favorite wrestlers in the 90’s. Also personal opinion, but lol at anyone that liked Austin over Pillman

At the time you had to like Pillman over Austin. That was of course before his got into that car accident. And then Austin blew up post King of The Ring.
I loved his loose cannon run I just didn’t know a the time just how bad his pain was. Sitting a lot backstage, still using crutches between shows, and needed pain killers all the time.BLM (Brock Lesnar Matters)
