Back in 2001 I purchased a bran new 2002 Eclipse Sypder, my first ever brand new car from the dealer. I recently gave it to my son Eric who, since he was a kid said, when I get older I want this car..
Anyway I gave him the car last year 2020 with 65K miles on it and the front of the body was slightly dinged from an accident my other son had with it.
He primed it for a wrap by sanding it down, and bonding any nicks and or dents.
Here is the before and after, he just got it back today. - Note he had the wing wrapped in black.
Him at 13 in the spyder (I think he was 13 at the time) and now at 35

Ah man, my great aunt Kathy had one of these bad boys brand new as well op, always loved it. She used to let me drive it up and down my pawpaw's super long driveway when I was like a preteen.

Man my son has bad luck a Mack Truck hit his car
The owner is paying for the damages, but man he JUST got his car back yesterday, now he will have to wait for it to get repaired!

That freakin sucks brother, but I kinda think he had good luck if that's the extent of the damage from being hit by a Mac freakin' truck!
Does freakin suck tho, only days after getting it back so beautifully wrapped.

Definitely, it sounds bad but according to my son they were both going maybe 20mph and the truck moved slightly into his lane, the driver didn't even know he hit my sons car. My son followed him, got his attention and at first the driver was saying "you sure I hit you?" but then looked at his truck and there was red all over his tire. So the owner of the truck company zelled my son the money it would cost to repair the damage.Originally Posted by ChazWood

Been doing some research in wraps, apparently it came out in the 50s but was extremely expensive. Also read that wrapping your car (because it protects the paint) adds more value to your car and lastly you can add it to some insurance companies for full coverage if any damage is done.
