Signed the paperwork this morning to get the Audi A6 I've been lusting after.

2017 with premium trim.










I wanted a lighter interior due to the Texas heat so I went with a brown. I thought it was going to be tan but upon delivery I was still satisfied with the selection.



The past few months the used car market has been crazy! As soon as a car is on the market it is immediately off. As soon as I saw this one I jumped on it.

22k miles on it, clean, handles very well.

Now I need a lulzy license plate. Reps for ideas.

My dad liked luxury vehicles - that was his thing. Knowing the maintenance costs of certain vehicles I sort of swore off getting certain cars for the longest.

Then I drove a few for the driving experience. In this car search I actually tried another Acura, but also the Genesis and the Lexus. I think with this I made good decision.

love it. get ceramic tint on windshield @ 50 or 70% (full windshield) and the rest of the windows however you want in ceramic and you will not complain about the southern heat as much bro..srs its the first investment on every single vehicle i buy. 50% ceramic in shield, 35% driver/passenger, 20% on the rest of the whip. Looks great too

You have to do research.

I searched recalls for my vehicles and did Consumer Report stuff for a while. I'd argue that an Acura or Lexus would be the better bang for your buck but I think the driving experiences of those lag behind. I've also driven a Mercedes which I find not super sporty and not a "driver" vehicle. Lexus almost babies you with handling. Acura has great acceleration and actually a good FWD vehicle but I wanted an AWD vehicle.

I'd never get a Benz or Mercedes personally. Porsche I heard is reliable and I have driven the Porsche SUV but as mentioned German vehicles are NOT forgiving when it comes to maintenance so I wonder if people actually properly maintain them. Japanese vehicles you can abuse more and they will run.

Yeah it's a sportier car than the A6 for sure. A6 was sort of the range I wanted - a sporty/luxury sedan.

Yeah I need to do that. I'm satisfied with the current tint but I need to see what the law says about the tints in TX.

Certain brands don't maintain or hold their value as well. I acknowledge that. I get it - the less reliability correlates to the amount it depreciates.

Again - maintenance is the key. Some folks are incredibly bad and yes there are some brands that are horrible with it. Audis in the late 90s going in the 2000s were lagging behind but they have become a competitive vehicle in the luxury market.
