Exclamation Is Corporate America's ultimate goal to control politics to help stay in China?

What is honestly going on right now?
    • Corporate America doesn't want to leave China due to the market share and supply chain investment.
    • Corporate America isn't really a stranger to politics but they're beginning to over-step a bit, especially regarding Georgia & BLM.
    • The US Government had to fight through hell to break up Monopolies & get US Corporations to ween off Nazi Germany prior to WW2.
    • Recently, Boeing's CEO made a comment asking the US to separate business & the Uyghur issue.
    • Democrats/The Left are mindlessly siding with Corporate America, even the same ones who stood behind Bernies "anti-Establishment" politics.

To what end will this all play out? Always. Follow. The. Money.
Right wing politics is the new counter-culture.

You gheys want to break up monopolies but don't you have a monopoly that controls electricity and water supplies in your state? Ask yourself, why did the government allow these companies to have a monopoly? When you find out the answer, you'll understand why general Tuna likes monopolies.

What we're seeing is a complete marriage of business and state and development of an oligarchy in the US. The most telling clue was when Twitter's competitor, Parler, was shut down for being used as a communication platform to organize the "insurrection" despite the fact attendees also widely used Twitter and Facebook to communicate.

As a result, political ideologies (or events) that run counter to state and corporate leadership beliefs are throttled/deplatformed/cancelled. Because of the size of these companies and thier ubiquitous use, this puts those targeted at a severe economic and political disadvantage and will eventually turn them into second class citizens.

This is the most favorable pathway towards domination by these aspiring oligarchs, who support these authoritarian or leftist politicians knowing they will eventually pay it back with protections.

    Well there is conflict.

Democrats and Republicans have embraced China over the last couple decades, Democrats probably a little more-so given the WTO decision and the 90s campaign finance issue.

There is probably blackmail available on the politicians.

    Corporate America donates to Politicians.

Politicians have a duty to protect America & its future.

We saw the UK Elite fold its Empire in favor of America over the last couple hundred years.

There are external forces outside US Politics, Corporate America, and China that make the waters murky as well.

But I don't think Corporate America has any interest in preserving the foundation of what made America what it is today. They are looking out for themselves.

And what better way to get Americans citizens on board with Corporate America's goals than convincing Americans they are looking out for their self interests.

Get Americans to hate America for what it represents. Hate its past. Hate what it represents. Re-invent America and let Corporations lead the Renaissance.

China is a better country to do business in. Obama admitted defeat and Trump was extremely misguided on how to bring jobs back from China. China's manufacturing capabilities are unmatched on the world stage. They have the best supply chain, every raw good you need is a block away, you never have to worry about having the job completed, labor laws, regulations, etc. Corporations will actually pay workers a premium in China than bring those jobs back. The only way those jobs come back is if you match their capabilities which will cost trillions of dollars of investment, and knowing how slow it takes to get anything done in the USA, will probably take decades if not a century to get there. We are more likely to see our manufacturing shift to another country rather than see it come back to the US.

As for the commercialization side, you can't really blame businesses there. Businesses want a presence in every market where there is opportunity, and if American businesses can penetrate those markets, it is good for the country as well.

But yeah... as far as the manufacturing jobs are concerned, it's too much work and too much money for politicians to be bothered trying to get anything done. By the time they make any significant progress they will likely be out of office anyway.

I'm not sure what you mean by that last sentence. But yea, I've always supported monopolies because they have the funds to output higher quality products.

That is why I've always supported Gillette. They are the only company to make a superior razor because they have the funds to build a large research and development facility. Other companies waste money having to start from square one every time, all the name sake of being "their own boss".

Monopolies don't care about R&D or innovation. Monopolies want to cut R&D and innovation. Once they dominate the market they can cut those costs and control the pricing. It is competition that creates innovation and superior products.

Sometimes true. Most of the time not.

When you develop a product, naturally there's going to be holes in it that gets pointed out by the consumer. And because monopolies have the funds for Rnd, these holes get addressed, naturally.

Competition creates this illusion that whoever makes the best product wins. But all you get is companies who are just playing catch-up, rather than really innovating.

Im estimating that the ratio for truly innovative competition is 100000 to 1

I would disagree with this. There is plenty of capital out there to finance competitors to spend on R&D and new innovations. Overall, once a monopoly takes shape the first cuts are usually to things like R&D because they have already stomped out the competition. If competition isn't the bigger driver of innovation then it doesn't say very much about capitalism, as the most attractive aspect of capitalism is that a fair and competitive market is supposed to support advancements and create new wealth within its society.
