Originally came out in 2010 on the PS3 but is being remastered and being released on the 23rd of April.

Interestingly enough the square root of 1.5 is 1.22474487139 which makes sense as this is more than just a remaster but not a sequel to Automata.

set your expectations accordingly. This is an old game that is more of a remaster than a true remake.

Horizon Zero Dawn, Tomb Raider, Control, Celeste, Resident Evil 3, Mirror's Edge, Dishonoured 2 and more all have female protagonists and are great games.
Games with a female lead character where the entire purpose of her being the main character is because of the axe wound between her legs will blow, but you should give the games a try.

lol I need to finish this game, I'm on Route C i think and I had zero feels in the first playthrough. Curious how the hell it's going to deliver.

Keeping it spoiler free, Route D and E are essentially epilogues - it's been a while since I played but there's no way the two together takes more than an hour. Finishing Route C is pretty much the end, sort of. Kind of.

If you've been following the game's themes of trying to create meaning in an essentially meaningless world, when it feels like God/our creators have abandoned us, and that life is a mandala (a beautiful piece of art that gets destroyed in the end), I don't think you'll ever see a better ending to a video game than Route E. I legit had to go outside and sit quietly for a while.

I would say though that action games/platformers like Metroid are a bit different from story driven games like Nier in this context. In a story driven game I really just don't want to play as a chick. Couldn't play FF13 either.

I forgot they're not chronological, I actually did A and G, now playing as 9S.

That's an interdasting philosophical take though, haven't heard it put that way before.

The FAR mod on PC fix the major issues for Automata and make the game playable

Nier automata was as close to a work of art as any game i ever played. From the story and themes to the music score, it was an incredible experience. 2nd best PS4 era game IMO.

Going to have to put this one off for a bit but itll def be in my backlog.

I’m gonna be real with you guys, I played this **** on Xbox and it’s a solid 5/10. Unless they completely revamped the game (which they didn’t) don’t go in expecting nier automata.

People who enjoy the story of automata will enjoy this way more (as it is a prequel) than someone looking for a character action game like bayonneta or ninja gaiden.
