But it's always the case that at some point Bitcoin corrects hard and stays low for years until it all picks up again. If you're going to cash out it has to be when Bitcoin peaks such as right now. Or you have to wait years until it does go back up again.

Nobody has broken the first mover advantage of Ethereum - despite that platform being hacked multiple times (effectively a record worse than Bitcoin and frankly any major project I've heard of). Cardano has been out for years and yet it's just as unknown, to the mainstream, as any other alt.


If something ends up mogging crypto it's probably nothing out right now. Crypto been out for 12 years and yet all the autists working on their own little projects haven't made anything mainstream yet.

Ethereum distribution was the same way if I recall. No KYC. So even though they had several big addresses it could just had been 1 mega rich whale or even an employee just splitting up their holdings.


Crypto is really just rich kids getting richer. Vitalik Buterin's Dad was already making $10+ million a year selling premade website packages in Toronto. Roger Ver I'm pretty sure is related to that Ver guy in California who runs a huge rental Empire (and would explain how he had the money to start a computer hardware store in his teens). One of those Karate child actors, obvously a multimillionaire from acting, got into Bitcoin super early on too. The Winklevoss Twins came with with their ******** lawsuit money.


Obviously there's very few cases where ordinary people actually get rich off these things without some (previously) rich person getting mega rich.

Long term = 20+ years. Bitcoin mining is unsustainable which is the biggest problem, not that it is decentralized or non-functional.
