Question What is the style of this program ?

Hey, just found this 5 Week Hypertrophy Workout Routine from Mike Israetel that looks great but was just wondering what was the "style" of this program. I thought a program was either UL, PPL, Split. This one doesn't seem to be any of those.. (Is it still effective though?)

"Mike Israetel 5 Week Hypertrophy Workout Routine Spreadsheet" on the website "Life Vault"

(would a push pull leg program be better to get an aesthetic body ? (I am a naturally skinny guy))

    Thank you for you response!

A split is simply a way to divide up the program. It is not the program.

Which days you do which exercises isn't the program, its just a way to split up your volume over a week. Dr. Mike is pretty well versed in hypertrophy, I've never ran the program but its probably good.

It says it all on the page - it's an intermediate/advanced hypertrophy program.

As mentioned, how the exercises are split up isn't that important - you don't need to define programs in terms of "split" since that isn't what produces results and is not what makes a good vs. bad program.

Can't see why they would be better or worse. It depends on the exercise selection and relative volumes. That's what determines which parts of your body get developed.

By the way OP, this is for intermediate/advanced. I have a hunch that you are a novice... if I'm correct then no, this is not the routine for you.

Multiple people told you the "split" aka which days you choose to train each muscle doesn't constitute a program. Repeating, twice, are PPL better for aesthetics is essentially ignoring every single one of those people/posts.

Don’t do the lift vault program.

It’s not an actual program by Dr Mike.

That’s just a spreadsheet someone compiled from all the different body parts of the hypertrophy hub guidelines so I don’t think it’d be an effective program.
the latest and greatest in training...or whatever.

Yeah I noticed it, is it still a good program though? I've been doing it just for a couple of days so can't tell anything yet. For the moment I kinda feel like I am not putting enough stress on any of my muscles. Idk if this will really help me for a hypertrophy, aesthetic body program.

Do you have any other program for hypertrophy (aesthetic body) to suggest ? (intermediate, advanced level)
