Post Should I take a multivitamin?

Hi everyone, my name is Arman and I'm 17. I'm very skinny and weak so I decided to join the gym. I did some research on supplements and saw that many people suggest taking a multivitamin but I am very confused about which one to take or if I really need one. Synthetic are cheap but many articles show that they can do harm. Wholefood multivitamins are super expensive here in India. So I wanted to know if taking a synthetic multivitamin is a safe option and how to know if a multivitamin is actually good in terms of ingredients? And if I shouldn't take a synthetic multiviatmin, what are some cheap natural sources to get decent amount of nutrients into my body.
Your advice would be highly appreciated.

If you're able to eat a variety of vegetables you most likely don't need one. Cruciferous vegetables like spinach, kale and broccoli are great sources of a lot of vitamins and minerals.

If you're skinny, you should be eating more. If you're eating more you should be including a variety of foods. If you're including a variety of foods, skip the multivitamin.
