Clarence Kennedy 507lb squat at 17 yrs old?

Watched his recent progression video over 15 years. From 7:15 on

    https://youtu.be/DBLWbAeyELU

He started training at about 15 in a nuclear wasteland. In a different video he briefly admitted to not being natty as he was answering questions. However, I highly doubt he used as early as 17 yrs old. How does someone deadlift 550lb at 17 and squat 507lb? He started with a 99lb clean & jerk at 15. Given that he got to that level in only 2 years and at such a young age, I can't really put it all on genetics. You eventually need hypertrophy to be stronger but with minimal hypertrophy, exactly how much stronger can one really get? I always thought that since strength is also a skill, that there's only about a 100lb difference on a big lift like the squat for someone who trains for strength vs. size. So how far can strength really diverge from size?

Edit: he actually has massive quads at 17

I know people who took the sauce as young as 14, which regardless of how stupid it is, means its entirely possible he did too. Combine that with some elite genetics and you have this kind of recipe. There's kids in highschool squatting over 800lbs in wraps, freaks exist all over.

    Early juice drinker....
Its not unusual for people pushing with D1, pro or Olympic grade talent/genetics.

Its not unheard of for people to bench 500 in high school either. These kind of people are the exception not the rule.

15-20 is an absolute god tier anabolic time for a dude.
When I was playing hockey in my late teens I had the 3/4/5, and close to 3 plate clean and a 2plate push press with trash genetics and no juice drinking. We only really trained squat, clean and push press regularly

I mean...he has been setting PRs left, right, and center from 15 yrs old on 8 minutes into the video. He took his squat from 507lbs to 564lbs in less than a year. Whatever he took though, I don't think it's anywhere near to physique competitors given that he specializes in Olympic weightlifting. He looks relatively normal, but still stronger than most physique competitors. He's 5'10 at 100kg

Self selected for anthropometry, including tendons and being athletic. I imagine he has an insane vertical.

And the amount of juice he drinks is likely a lot more than ya think... Different flavours of those special bcaa's really do quench your thirst differently.. Nom sayin?

He does have an insane vertical. He does a lot of tricking parkour-type stuff.

What's your take on Olympic weightlifting vs. powerlifting? Which one has a higher chance of injury? I think that out of all forms of lifting out there including strongman, bodybuilding is the safest. Injuries in bodybuilding I think creep up on you more so you at least get a warning ahead of time of when to back off.

For various reasons.. But likely not the ones you expect.

Highland games - most injuries per 1000 hours
    Strongman
    Powerlifting*
    Crossfit
    Weightlifting
    Powerlifting*
Bodybuilding - least injuries per 1000 hours

And 'idiot gym rat' likely falls somewhere in the middle.

Bb injuries are mostly shoulders, elbows and lumbar due to trying to keep their waists at small as possible and not activating braces a lot of the time from fear of blocky waist xD

*various data puts them as low as 0.8 to as high as 4.4..per 1000.
I'd guess raw/equipped and tested/untested is the reasons.
Raw & tested been much less likely that geared & geared.

You're making the assumption that everyone who juices has a certain look to them, that isn't the case. Like ego mentioned, there are a lot of different flavors with different effects and results plus your training matters.

ITT OP learns that some teens juice at an early age. Just look at Mike O’Hearn or literally any fitness influencer on social media.
