Are low interest rates here to stay for awhile?

I just got an email from my bank (a local credit union) sayin they will be lowering interest rates again in the next couple of weeks.
Are low interest rates here to stay for a long time?
Do you think it will ever get to negative interest rates?

Negative interest rates are pretty rare and I think typically have only occurred in comparatively small markets. It's probably safe to say it won't happen here. But with the looming threat of inflation, increasing interest rates is usually the go-to.
