    Shaking supplement container before use

I overheard a conversation in my gym the other day about someone saying it's a good idea to shake the supplement container before adding to your shaker cup. This will help mix the ingredients in their intended amounts...

I'm wondering if this is a good idea or just a bunch of bioscience. There is definitely some logic to it. But If what he says is true, wouldn't everything with multiple ingredients have to be shaken?

Would like to hear some thoughts.
