Why is no one allowed to suggest that maybe...just maybe the dude is only so good because Mercedes has such a beast of a car?
His entire time with Mclaren, he wins one championship and one second place. The other 4 years he places 4th or 5th.
Suddenly he goes to Mercedes and is world champion in 6 out of 8 seasons...
...but no one is allowed to believe “gee, I bet the car has a LOT to do with Hamilton’s wins.”
He’s a good driver. The best? I HIGHLY doubt it.
If you can’t even entertain the idea that the other top drivers on the grid could likely regularly beat him in the same car, you’re obviously a biased fanboy. (Which is fine. But just admit it instead of playing dumb.)
I mean look at some of the drivers in mid level cars and how they're capable of top 5 finishes often times. You can't tell me that in a better car those guys aren't capable of winning championships.
Bottas as well. All over the grid prior to going to Mercedes. Goes to Mercedes and suddenly he's a top 3 driver every season aside from one.

Everyone knows it, why they can't suggest it is obvious. Same reason why you can't criticize anyone these days as long as they're dindus. Hamilton is their dindu pet that is incapable or wrong doing, if you suggest that he isn't skilled then you're racist.

Yeah common sense and logic is no longer relevant in today's western society. Only a matter of time before I get banned for this sht again as well. I might as well be going for the misc world record at this point. I didn't even bother watching this past season, just gonna be another Hamilton and Mercedes circle jerk and when I saw Ferrari wasn't even making it in the top 10 in some cases I was like phuk this.

One of the biggest signs to see a driver's skill is to see how a driver does in comparison to his teammate. Rosberg and Bottas aren't really considered to be top tier talents and they're pretty much second in the team anyway. And he wasn't that much better than them. Hamilton is still a top tier driver but maybe not at the absolute legend/GOAT level in terms of skills.
Disclaimer: I'm on Verstappen's nuts so I'm a bit biased.

I'm a Verstappen fan myself. But Pierre is bringing the fking heat...in a mid level car. Hard not to like him. Especially being somewhat of an underdog after Red Bull let him go to Alpha Tauri. And now he's fuking killing it. Red Bull fked up hard letting him go.
In the end, there's a load of incredible drivers right now. Sadly, some will never get to display what they're really capable of because they can't get in the seat of the right cars. Next season will be extremely interesting though with the new budget cap they're implementing.
You got the big dogs like Merc, Ferrari, etc that are able to blow ~$300,000,000 a season to run their teams, and the small guys like Haas and all are probably having to get buy on well under $200,000,000.
How will these bigger teams cope with their $300,000,000 budget being cut down to nearly 1/3 at $145,000,000.
We might FINALLY see some super interesting racing happening. The bottom tier cars may not be so bottom tier any more.Last edited by R3L3NTL3SS; 03-27-2021 at 04:22 PM.

Last season was worth keeping up with for the few times he was beat. My main complaint with Hamilton is he's just a spoiled ass brat that thinks the rules don't apply to him. I think he lost two races last season because he had penalties for doing dumb chit he knows better than to do, but figures he'll get away with because he's "the best".

It seems like Gasly just couldn't really handle the pressure. Red Bull still had the option to promote him again to the main team but I think they made a safe bet with Perez. I feel like Perez could easily win 3-4 GPs this year if the car does turn out to be the best or on par with Mercedes. I always kinda cheer for the Alpha Tauri drivers as well. I'm excited to see what this Japanese kid will be able to do. He was quick during Q1 on the soft compound.
Not sure about the budget changes. I'm kinda skeptical in general so I'd just assume that the big dogs will manage to find enough ways to get advantages by bending the rules.

Intredasting. I might try watching this past season. I recall the mid field competition wasn't too bad and Pierre was a beast. Might be worth watching if there's some good new talent and sht. Wasn't aware there was a Japanese brah in it now. Been wanting to see some japanese brahs get back in the F1 game ever since I saw Takuma win Indy500 a while back.

You realize the whole George Russell thing wasn't a coincidence right?
They did it to protect his image because in their reverse racist minds they didn't want the "racists" out there to get pleasure from seeing George prove that exact thing even more blatantly. So they thought it was OK to pull the rug out from under him out of fear Hamilton would get upset and be even more hated or whatever.
In the end its to show they are in power not Hamilton, not the racist masses who need to be taught, but them.
thats the pathetic narrcissism of it all and a microcosm of what is wrong with cuck beta weirdos having power or influence in general.

I liked him more when he was more of an underdog against Vettel. Now I am not a fan, especially since 2020.
Also this is the main reason why I enjoy MotoGP so much more as it's more so about the rider than the bike. I think F1 is like 90% car, 10% driver. MotoGP is like 70% rider, 30% bike. Maybe I have it a little skewed, but I think you get my point.

Just watched the Bahrain race man FML Verstappen almost had it. He got too eager at the end and went off track man he's done that before too. Hell of a race though, Bahrain always provides some decent action. That bull**** ambiguity by the stewards about track limits was bs though, they should've made that clear man Lewis was cutting that corner the whole phuking race.

Since when did dominate F1 champions not have the best car? You think Vettel's dominance from 2010 - 2013 was while he was driving a car that was inferior to the rest of the field? You think Schumacher's Ferraris where inferior? The best drivers typically get the best equipment! Welcome to motorsport!! It's the blame doesn't lie with Mercedes & Hamilton for Redbull and Ferrari failing to put together a proper challenge. Mercedes is firing on all cylinders and other teams are dropping the ball, it's their own fault for sucking.

Bro, Hamilton was great when he started F1 in '07! He got on the podium in his first F1 race ever! He only missed winning the championship as a rookie with McLaren by 1 point! But you think he was just some crappy or barely average driver?? His talent to drive and assist with car development paired well with Mercedes and they became a dominate team. You're trying to hate on him because you're probably tired of Hamilton/Mercedes victories, but trying to claim he isn't one of the best if not THE best drivers to ever race F1 is just ridiculous. Even Max acknowledged how good Hamilton is to be able to consistently produce results, that's no easy task. All the drivers on the grid are very talented, but many of them make far more errors and get caught up in stupid collisions than Hamilton.

not gonna zuk his dik (i was a hater when he first came to the scene but now i dig the guy and he grew on me) but maybe he knows how to get the most of that beast of a car, plus years of experience. Same with Alonso and Kimi, great drivers but hey never got THE car that can crap on everyone else.
I always tell the truth, even when I lie.

To win championships, you NEED to be in one of the top-tier big racing teams. The best teams win the championships. That's why they have constructor trophies, not just driver trophies.
The argument about him "sucking" 10 years ago is stupid. When Vettel was winning, he had the best team and best car. Hamilton was always competing. If you're an elite F1 driver, you want to be on Mercedes, Red Bull, Ferrari.
I don't care for Hamilton, but you still don't win races if you suck. Drivers who compete for the big teams don't make it, but they still get a shot at the sister teams to compete to win at the lower rankings.
Would other drivers win championships with Mercedes? Yes, of course. But you have to be among the best to get qualified to even race among the best.
And then you have the team, don't knock Toto for leading that amazing team.
If you haven't watched Drive to Survive on Netflix, do it. It'll give you insight into how different teams work. You can see how big teams operate versus small teams.
