    Ford Maverick compact truck

    I was interested in the new Frontier until the price was revealed. There is no benefit over a Ram 1500 when the prices are only a few thousand apart.

    Now Ford comes along with a unibody 'compact' truck. They say it starts at $20k and will start selling late 2021 or early 2022. Ford has been pumping out winners one after another recently. Compact is in quote because midsize now = full size, so compact may be the new midsize.

    Who the fk can actually get any real world use out of these small ass trucks? The Ranger is already small AF to me. Maybe it's cause I'm used to the insane amount of space in my Tundra Crewmax, but the Ranger and Tacoma, etc are a no go for me. Seat all the way down my head is like 2" from hitting the fking roof. I'm a pothole away from being paralyzed.

    get a real one with some miles on it if finances are an issue. i've never met somebody who owns a ram/f150/silverado etc that said "man it's just too big and i don't need the size.' you say that BEFORE you buy it but once you own it a while you make use of it and learn to love it.

    Someone at work said the ranger wasn't a real truck lmao.

    Meanwhile he just uses an f150 to commute to work and keeps it pristine. Never off roaded or hauled anything.

    Like you said, trucks these days are huge compared to even 20 years ago.

    Plus, the ranger has a 7500 lb towing capacity which is more than most people will ever use. That can tow lots of different boats, jet skis, small rvs and trailers.

    Plus it's better for off roading too since it's smaller.
