(I always thought boiled eggs were more nutritious because someof the nutrients get lost when fried due to the high heat?)

The Iron Guru Vince Gironda was a big fan of sunny side up. Firm whites runny yolks but I don’t know the exact reason.

I enjoy how versatile eggs are and how many unique ways you can eat them. Personally I like scrambled the most. Using butter or oil obviously adds calories, though.

Otherwise, it's just what you prefer. AFAIK nothing gets lost nutritionally from the eggs themselves if you fry them.

‘Better’ for taste/texture would be subjective.

I prefer over-medium (soft but not runny yolk) if I’m eating whole eggs

Health wise I think boiling would add the least calories or byproducts of high-heat cooking

Eat them however you like the taste best IMO, but if you want to minimize losing nutrients or other negatives of cooking - boiled, steamed or poached prob would be better than frying.

Not by me. I'm intrigued now.

BTW, I prefer fried eggs. I don't believe they absorb much fat so there's not a lot of difference to boiled eggs.

What do you mean by tomato sauce...marinara? I never eat eggs plan and always drown them in hot sauce, salsa, Sriracha, or even a good amount of ketchup. I've never had them with "tomato sauce" though. Is this a UK thing ?

Do you ever sprinkle turmeric + black better off them? my cousin is Persian and when we lived together he introduced me to that combo... it’s great! Topped with ketchup or sriracha it adds an awesome kick

The British also refer to their ketchup is as 'tomato sauce) I’ve never been to the uk soooooo no idea


In Italy (eggs in purgatory) and In the Middle East (Shakshuka) they do cook eggs in tomato sauce but generally it’s baked /poached. Also, I’ve had it in France, but I don’t think it’s French

YES! I should do that more. That was actually a go-to for me growing up. I use turmeric in most of my vegetable dishes, but for some reason I actually haven't added it to my eggs in forever.
