I've now got barbell and much heavier plates...

I've been getting into decent shape with just dumbells over the last two months cutting, it's my birthday today and missus got me a bar and 10 and 20kg plates.

Was wondering how efficient being able to add bench press, squats and dead lifts into my workouts will be for faster muscle growth?

Probably the wrong forum since it's only loosely equipment related, but a basic beginner barbell program (you can look up about a 100 variations online, but most of them involve a set amount of sets/reps per movement, with weight added to the bar at a set interval like every workout) is a good way to get started with barbell training. You can generally move more overall weight with a barbell then with dumbbells, so increase your overall stimulus, but whether that translates into faster/bigger muscle growth is dependent on a lot of things.

Compound movements that use many muscles will take you a long way.
As mentioned you need to get on structured program and progressively lift more and increase intensity.
Be aware this may not happen over night and will dedication and discipline to achieve your goal.
Have a goal and record your training sessions, eat for growth and get plenty of rest for recovery.
    Good luck.

Do you also have a rack and a bench? Those would be the next pieces to add.
