Lots of rumors out there about the all new 2022 Tundra. What do you hope to see? I personally can't wait. Will be a buyer for the 2023 model without a doubt if it's a TTV6 or the nice Lexus V8 as an option.

Currently own an 18 Platinum, and have owned two previous Tundras (2010 Rock Warrior and 2001 SR5). Waiting on throwing a set of Fox Pro shocks or Falcon shocks onto mine until the new generation is released. If I love it, I’ll get a new one, if not, then I’ll continue to build up my 18.
Things not offered on current generation that I would like to see:
- TTV6 with hybrid comparable to new PowerBoost from Ford, preferably that runs on regular unleaded,
- 8 speed transmission,
- Make Pro edition Fox shocks available on top of line Platinum model, or Platinum level interior on Pro model, basically a Platinum Pro,
- Dual Panel moonroof,
- Flat rear area on crew cab,
- auto / on demand 4x4 system,
- selectable drive modes,
- increased towing and payload,
- heated steering wheel, and heated rear seats,
- Premium audio system that actually sounds decent,
- cap less gas tank system,
- power receptacle in the bed,

From everything I’ve seen and read, the only motor will be the 3.5 TTV6 from the LS500. Then hybrid on higher trims.
416hp / 442tq, and max torque is much higher and thousands of RPM earlier than the old school V8’s Lexus currently uses.
If they add hybrid on top (like the Ford PowerBoost which adds 30hp/70tq over standard EcoBoost), it should be a MONSTER.

I have a 2012 Tundra with only 85k miles. 6in lift, 37s and a ton of other mods. I average 12mpg. Ive been waiting a few years on the redesign. I have high hopes. Hopefully I won’t be disappointed.
Regardless, I’m keeping my 2012.

New spy shots showing the new coil rear suspension, and what looks like a 6.5 foot’ish bed in crew cab configuration.
Also reports from Toyota mechanics is that the rear suspension looks identical to the Land Cruiser 200 series, which by all accounts rides like a dream and is extremely capable.

That suspension setup will provide an incredible ride...but will it tow worth a fk without bags?
(I don't tow anything heavy enough to GAF myself, but others do.)
Regardless, I'm very very curious to see it without all the **** on it. Proportionately a lot of things look weird AF to me lol.
Hopefully it comes together with all the coverings off.

I've put off buying a tundra for a while. Couple main points to this:
1. fuel mileage is the ****tiest for all manufacturers
2. Creature comforts are far behind the competition
3. Price. Priced the same as competitors while offering less and typically no wiggle room from dealers.
I'm not a huge fan of the direction both Ford & Toyota are heading with the TTv6. Adding more moving parts to the system is never a good idea for reliability.
Granted, I have zero experience with that platform, and everybody I know driving the Ecoboost seems to love it.
I will probably be driving something new in the next 6 months so will likely not be getting a Tundra, but I'm interested to see what they come up with. You don't have to be great to start, but you have to start to be great.
