Exclamation I had a stroke one month ago at age 32, almost became disabled, be careful brahs

    - At 10pm I was suddenly dizzy and my left arm felt numb. I thought it would get better after a while but it got worse. I went to hospital by 4am and the doctor wasn't sure I had stroke due to my age. I was getting super dizzy and threw up 5 times. I thought sh!t was probably getting real soon and didn't want to sh!t the bed so I took a massive protein dump in the hospital toilet (felt bad for the nurse who had to pick me up from the toilet)

    - Later that day on my hospital bed I could no longer move my left side. My eyes would spin by themselves and I had to close my eyes to avoid getting more nauseas and tried to sleep through the entire day.

    - On the second day I was no longer dizzy but discovered my left side motor functions were pretty much destroyed. I couldn't stand up because I could not control my left leg and could barely move my arm. my face was drooping and I bit myself every time I tried to eat. Doctor confirmed I had a stroke.

    - I didn't want the male nurses helping me piss (no homo) so I really wanted to be able to walk to the toilet. My family member helped hold me up from behind so I could go take a piss, during that time I realised if I held onto the bed or a rail I could train my legs to stand again.

    - I trained myself to be able to walk with very bad form later that day and began recovering.

    - Other stroke patients in the hospital had conditions ranging from memory loss, forgot how to speak, can't swallow, cant think clearly etc, nobody could move around.

    - Due to my young age and desire to recover I was discharged early from hospital. I've been doing rehabilitation 6 days a week for more than a month now. I'm about 60% recovered now and can probably make a full recovery in 2 months ish.

All my levels were normal besides slightly higher LDL. It turns out I had a hole in my heart (that 25% of the population has) that can pump a blockage into my brain and I've had a surgery to get it fixed. I was really lucky to not be affected intellectually. My motor functions look like will come back to normal as I am doing a ton of rehab. Can probably lift weights do martial arts in about a month. Can do heavy labour jobs hopefully in a month or two.
This was a mind blowing experience because I could have died or ended up permanently disabled (50% of stroke sufferers end up disabled) if my stroke was in a different part of my brain.
I was not allowed to drive for 1 month.

I learned that anyone can get a stroke even at younger ages. If you go on youtube you'll see a lot of the younger kids (teen-30) don't recover that well from stroke even though they are young. It can really **** anyone's life up. The potential consequences are disastrous, you can: become permanently disabled, lose athleticism, lose your job, your girlfriend/wife can leave you, forget how to speak, lose your memory, you'll have a hard time dating with mental/physical disabilities even your dick can shrink (SRS lmfao).
Many of us misc gym bros are probably more at risk because of our stronk diets. If you have irregular sleep and high stress you are at risk too.

I'm sharing what i went through to spread some awareness of the dangers of stroke. Look after yourselves. If you or your friends experience symptoms such as massive headaches, dizziness and numbness, go to hospital straight away. If you get this drug for stroke within 4 hours of symptoms developing you can potentially reverse the stroke damage. Please stay safe brahs

The doctors believe it was because I had a hole in my heart (left on the picture) that pumped a blood clot into my brain. Approx 25% of people have this hole

Sorry to hear that bro. My pop had one 5 years ago, and as stubborn as he was, he waited too long before going to the hospital. He's now confined to a wheelchair and hasn't recovered much. It's definitely hereditary and something that's on the back of my mind at all times. Good luck to you.

if your leg or somewhere makes a blood clot, and it gets pumped through that hole into your brain then you can have a stroke. It's not super common but thats probably what happened to me.

Glad to see you're doing better

My wife's old friend died few months ago from an "undiagnosed heart condition" . She was in her upper 30s

Shouldn't everybody have a heart scan? Or do we just hope we don't have a heart condition and hope we don't drop dead?

    Hope you’re okay op.

I went to a cardiologist a couple years ago because I thought I had an irregular heartbeat on prescribed adderall but they did an ultrasound and the doctor was like “yeah dude you’re fine.” And that put things to rest. If there was a hole in my heart I hope that would’ve shown it.

Recently had a full panel blood test because I’m on TRT and there are risks because it thickens the blood and increases red blood cell count. But my recent blood test showed remarkable improvements in my blood piped panel. Great overall cholesterol with lowered LDL. But my HDL could be higher.

I heard people on TRT should donate blood regularly because of higher red blood cell count. I wonder if that’s another falsehood as well.

its not red blood cells... its blood in general high T makes u have more blood ( cuz ur growing in size) your body not meant for the size but now u r bigger so u need more blood problem is the body doent know how much blood so it creases total fluid but your veins r the same so now u got more fluid going through the same veins making it really dense and therefor ur heart is working harder

BUT TRT is actually really good for health because a heart like any muscle also becomes stronger and can handle this lil change
the problem is when you start doing a gram of Test the heart just cant keep up and your stroke increeases

    cliffs= trt doses r safe

I had a brainstem stroke not a TIA. Blood pressure was normal. Yeah losing vision and cant swallow would be devastating

    man thats fukn scary

ive had this dizzines, chest tightness , weird numbness of body parts for like 8 weeks now.

went to the er at the start a few times and they "didnt find anything wrong"
but I still have the dizziness and breathing issues came back last night and tonight.

how did they find that out about your heart op?
when I went to er, they did this stupid thing where they attach wires to you for like a minute and then assume my heart was fine..
I dont think thats conclusive at all.
Have an Mri for my head but its all the way in april since everything else is booked
but want to check my heart, lungs and everything again

im legit scared for my life that I have something wrong that might not ever go away and that doctors dont even know what it is and think im fine

Not to scare you but my dad had a major stroke on Father’s Day morning in 2016 so this brings things back for me. But he was 72 and one of his arteries was almost complete clogged. Never smoked never drank.

Hope you make a full recovery brah.
