Can you add 10lbs while ultimately keeping the same waist size?

Hey all, I've gotten down to 10-11% body fat and have a 31" waist and weigh 168lbs. I like this look and now want to add muscle. My question is, after I'm done bulking/cutting is it possible for me to weight 178lbs while still having a 31" waist? Or does the fact of adding on more muscle also increase your waist size? Is it a realistic goal to pack on more mass but keep the same waist? I know I'll add some fat while bulking, but I'm concerned about after the cut. Is this possible?

Your waist shouldn't increase a noticeable amount at the same BF%

It's definitely possible. You'll have to bulk slow though. Probably not more than 1 to 1.5 pound weight gain per month. And train right of course.

Sure. I’ve seen people who could gain 10 pounds on legs without affecting their waist.

Depends on where the weight ends up on your body, whether muscle or fat.

If you're strictly talking in terms of wardrobe and squeezing into a particular pants/jeans size, sure.
