So my first cougar/cub relationship was back in 2006.

Of course this guy hits me up tonight after he and his ex break up. A mutual friend of ours passed away sadly. I am still in shock and grief as our friend was on his way up to Maine to get engaged, he only got there for a month before he had a heart attack. Now his fiancee is crushed. Still, at least they had a month together forever after years of long distance.

The younger guy left me in St. Petersburg by taking a bus to see his ex-girlfriend. He left me for her, and they had a baby. They were broken up when I was with him. Now they are broken up. He lives across the country but moved up north. Crazy story as I met him in the Florida Keys and then again in St. Pete's beach. His now ex-girlfriend was crazy and sent me all kinds of death threats.

Now he says in retrospect he should have stayed all week on the beach with me instead of going back to her, but then he wouldn't have his daughter. I said oh well that's destiny.

It was funny because the waitress we had said we looked so happy together that we should return there to get married. I was like wtf, that made me catch feels though if someone else could pick up on that.

He's 12 years younger than me, but I didn't think he wanted kids as he has a 20 year old. It wasn't planned. Why do I get in the middle of these crazy, drama-filled stories.

I guess I will look at these when I'm retired and realize that I lived an exciting life full of adventure!

We have long political discussions and I really like someone I can have intellectual conversations with. I forgot that about him.

HOWEVER, I asked him about the alcohol and he got defensive, which means he's still drinking. Why do I like these guys who are alcoholics or recovering drug addicts? Codependency. Hence why I have gone to Al-Anon meetings. He's probably great to talk to when he's drunk.

I'll just never forget sitting outside on a white sand beach looking at dolphins from our hotel balcony. Ugh why do exes have to return? I'm on a break from dating so I'm not talking to anyone else. He's across the country so it's not like I'm going to hang out with him.

Well my ex who returned in the picture after 3 years of blocking is 37 and has a 20 year old so his son is older than my daughter. We had talked about him moving out here 3 years ago and getting a place together, but now he has a baby daughter, so that would be hard to do. Plus the fact that he blocked me right after I paid for his Uber, gave him free food and free lodging since he was broke after the hurricane sunk his boat.

Even though he's closer to my age, he went with a younger woman (his now ex) and she tried to trap him with a second baby.

Yeah these cougar/cub relationships don't work out, but then again, you and I try to date guys our age and don't get past the first date. Sigh.

Still talking to the 37 year old although I've been off of dating apps for 2-3 weeks. It's nice. He's across the country, though, and even moved up north from where I normally travel to.

I don't understand why I get into interesting conversations with men on here and across the country, yet it's the same boring conversation with men on dating apps. I need intellectual stimulation.

The problem is that guys on here and the ones across the country are long distance and not viable options. The men here suck I swear. I have friends who did long distance relationships with guys in San Diego just to get away from the men in this area.
