High end shoe makers such as Carmina allow for either single or double dainite soles, and with a stormwelt, they can add quite a bit of height. They aren't shoe lifts; double dainite is generally used for shoes that are meant for rougher terrain (mainly boots or chukkas) and the stormwelt is to keep water from seeping in.

His shoes are probably $500 at the minimum, could easily go for $1k
