By then you're well past your peak and on the decline
Nothing is new or fresh anymore
If you're a careercel then you've probably maxed out your career potential and are phasing out toward retirement
You've been there, done that with your life experiences...and are just basically slowly fading towards the end

I don't know why people think this. Most of the really happy people I know are my age or older.
Eat in a deficit to lose weight.
Hit your protein and fat minimums to stay healthy and keep your gainz.
Lift heavy and do HIIT to look and feel awesome.
Use the internet to learn why you should do these things and how to do these things.

I won't lie --- I often have dreams of passing away peacefully before I get old. I don't want to be old!
But on a more serious note - a lot of people 50+ tend to be religious for a reason. They're seeing death right in front of them, and they realize that all they did in life will basically get away by the tide. Friends, money, education, family ... nothing will be there anymore for you after death. Older people go religious to think about what exists hereafter.

This.
I know someone whose Mother died when she was a young child and her Mother would have really wanted to watch all her kids grow up and become successful well adjusted adults and to meet all her Grandchildren.
She also managed to teach all her kids how to read and write by the time they were in kindergarten which put them ahead of the curve.
For me personally I have so many goals and projects it will take me decades to finish them all.
Live long and prosper.I have sampled every language and French is my favorite to curse in.

I'm just looking forward to saying this when people ask my age:

I saw some Grandpa on a Hong Kong newspaper that apparently has completed 90 video games in the last years. So persumably, the lifestyle you *probably* lived in your teens or concurrently can be done in your old age. You just can't pound back Monster Energy Drinks or cheetos without getting high blood pressure..

Yeah, it's like a second life.
I joined an adventure club, I'm back playing in tennis league and have the time to see female friends again.
I love how one 50 year old woman I know got divorced and is skiing, backpacking, kayaking or doing some adventure every weekend along with weights during the week, and posts that she's "livingherbestlife".
Some guys on here would say cope, but IDGAF.

I told my wife I'll be 50 next year. She looked at me as if I'd gone crazy. The point is, as long as you have a happy, healthy, fulfilled life, age really is irrelevant. We rarely think about it.
