Puffy Nipples with 12 percent Body Fat

    Hey everyone,

Over the past few years, I’ve been trying to put on weight/muscle. I’ve gone from 100 to 160 pounds with decent muscle gain (current BF% is 12%, height 5’9).

I thought everything was going okay until a few months ago, when I noticed I had some slight puffy nipple development.

Concerned that it was gyno, I went to the doctor to get evaluated. He said it wasn’t gyno and that it’s just some excess body fat.

I still was hoping to put on some more weight (ideally 180/190ish), but I’d rather not walk around constantly pinching my nipples so they don’t look puffy.

What would you suggest I do? Keep going on a lean bulk and then try to cut to under 10 percent BF after I hit my ideal weight? Or cut down a few pounds now until they go away, and then try to lean bulk again?

Also, as far as the gym goes, should I be focusing more on upper chest workouts to make my lower chest better? Or lower chest workouts to make the area look less puffy? Currently I try to hit everything equally.

    Thanks for any advice

You might not actually be 12%. It's notoriously hard to measure BF% accurately. I'm guessing you used a BIA device?

It would be better to post a picture in the BF estimation thread in the fat loss forum.

It's pretty difficult to look lean at 190 BTW @ 5'9 - that would probably be 5+ year goal... you might have to reassess that to more like 170-175ish
