The babybust - which is a good thing

    https://www.cbsnews.com/news/birth-r...ations-crisis/

This is a good thing for workers and most people to have babybusts.

Less strain on limited resources, it relaxes stressors on the workers as their employment is no longer terminal in relationship to pay, and it starts to allow for 'overbuilding' which ends up benefiting the consumer ultimately through increased supply and reduced demand.

The only bad thing that ruins a babybust for the consumer is immigration and open boarders which are not necessarily good things especially when the immigration is coming from 'low education' areas. If you allow immigration at all you want it to be difficult high-knowledge sectors where you have gaps to further your economy. That is a bit of a weird thing in America since America is touted for having the most educated workforce and best education system - so why aren't your own people able to fill these same gaps?

We won't see the effects of declining birthrates for about 50 years but I find it laughable how the article is calling for action and suggesting we need to somehow change policy regarding birthing. It isn't the government's job to tell you when and how to have kids with. That's called eugenics when they do that.

This is a good thread for Trumpy derplers to think about.

Try to consider the connection between the US economy's need for labor......declining birth rates......and immigration.

After you've thought about that for a while, see if you can figure out why NEITHER political party, nor big business, nor your charlatan hero Lying Donald has ever made a legitimate effort to curb illegal immigration.

THEN......consider why the man many consider the greatest conservative in US history, Ronald Reagan, approved a pathway to citizenship.

    Think hard Trumpies. Think........

Less teenage births than ever actually.

    https://www.pewresearch.org/fact-tan...-rate-falling/

So, it means every level of society is being more reasonable and recognizing the true cost of birthing and the consequences financially for having children - the reward of having your kid grow up and be successful can be very neat - though it seems in the majority most kids end up 'average' and a minority end up in prison. Overall - the middle class is the same per the pew from 2015 to 2018 but it has shrunk since the 1960's but mostly because people are 'richer' not poorer.

Its almost as if the rapidly growing environment of automation replacing whole industries(estimates of 70 million jobs being replaced in the next decade) has made the native population adjust accordingly.

I think there is a squeeze on young people right now.

Pandemic doesn't help. Shortage of cheap starter homes doesn't help. Difficult entry into workforce doesn't help. Boomers living much longer than their parents did - doesn't help.

Most wealth is tied up in 60+ individuals who would normally die around 70 --- are living to be 80+ -- so that money is generally locked in the houses themselves, 401Ks that are gradually be whittled away, and Tbills. The transfer of wealth from this generation to the next hasn't happened and won't happen for about 20 years.

When you see Warren Buffet and Bill Gates kick the bucket - you will start seeing some wealth changes and a change in political spectrum too that is more significant.

That of course is a very slow moving hand.

It strongly suggests more automation in the near future - but when you contrast that with immigration it suggests we should have an anti-immigration policy when it comes to 3rd world countries in the majority. We don't need 'low end' workers which is often the individuals coming from these countries. We also don't need a path to citizenship. We just need to deport them.

I don't see a lot of news from businesses crying out for 'workers' of any kind so I don't get this idea of maximum employment - as we aren't anywhere close to maximum employment. I suppose that is why Janet is making that her goal as it would provide a semblance of reason for an open-immigration policy. I just don't see that happening and like Bill Gates has said, 'tax the robot' is probably what needs to occur in the not so far future as those jobs are gone for good.

MIT did a study on this too and effectively every robot we put in takes away roughly 3 jobs. I only see more robots coming and thus - less jobs in the future which again isn't a bad thing - it is just progress. It is wise to not have kids or limit your family to just 1 kid. Greater chance they and your community will succeed.

One second they talk about having too many children is bad the next second they're talking about having too little is bad...Idk about the USA but I'm not going to have more then 1-2 children or even any if the average house is 1m and goes up by 100-200,000 yearly...brb you get a 1m house on 2.5%, brb next 5 years it gets updated so if that interest is now 5%+ and your average salary can't afford, brb goes up for sale. I heard in the USA your interest rate gets locked for 30 years, here it gets updated every 5 years...

meanwhile africa is set to explode, guess where they will all be going? yep, europe and america and our borders will be wide open. whites are already a minority in USA if we look at under 20 years old. and even worse we are a minority that is allowed no representation because there are institutions like the ADL and SPLC that shut down any pro white movements. this is a huge issue no one will talk about, and is likely to end western civilization as we know it.

It's been destroyed like everything else commie leftie dem progressives touch , there was once upon a time the Institution of Marriage. Boys married girls and had babies. It had been the norm since the beginning of time. The traditional nuclear family has been demolished, and with it our future citizens. We have a slew of dishwasher caliber potential employeees entering from the south, hopefully the restaurants open soon enough.

This ^ it’s ****ing expensive to have kids, with an average pregnancy costing around $9,000.

So if someone is younger wanting to have kids, they’re most likely going to incur heavy debt, so it makes sense for them to wait. So the wait until their thirties when they are stronger financially, but now they’re only able to have 1-2 kids because the healthy birthing years are nearly over.

While, the welfare class can pop out as many kids as they want and have their pregnancy costs covered entirely by the government. They’re not able to raise their kids properly to get the higher education needed to get the better jobs to advance society, so now the government has to import third world aliens to make up the gap.

I'm well into baby rearing age.

I'm the only person in my group that even has kids....Its honestly probably too late for my friends to even have kids.

Something bizarre has happened in the lower tiers of the working class. They have basically stopped reproducing. They're smart enough to realize they can't afford it, yet too dumb to realize why.
    no one thinks that srs

No just more short term thinking. Import a bunch of semi-citizens, work them like slaves, keeping wages below market value. They never save enough for their old age or contribute enough to pay for their own social security or medicare.
You can do this for while but its just more debt and eventually the system will collapse.

Why? Lower tier working class get all medical bills paid for, they get food stamps, section 8 housing, reduced or covered utility costs. Then they also receive money for each child they have in terms of tax credits, on a tax bill they are probably exempt from. So I’m not seeing how the lower tier working class would be feeling any negative effects.

theres a couple reasons, the main one is women in the work place. it started as them helping the ww2 war effort and they just kind of stayed there. kind of like income tax was to help civil war effort and it just kind of stayed there.

the secondary is the academia and media reinforcing women to prioritize careers over familys, and painting the natural role as a mother as "cringe". funny how almost every tv show for the last 50 years is clowning on christians / white familys

so now we have a nation of whores, where everything evil is good, hard to even want a family in a nation so pozzed

We'll never see the effects of declining birth rates, the government will just import people. It desperately needs more morons to work in order to use that money to buy votes from older people drawing 'benefits'. They've created all these vote buying programs but forgotten to fund them, you can't buy enough votes if you've only got 2 people paying taxes to support 1 leech, you need a higher ratio otherwise the 2 paying will realize they are getting screwed. If you get like 5 paying for every 1 leech you can cover it up by using things like only deducting half of your taxes from your check (hiding the rest by making the 'employer' pay it so you don't see) - allowing you to buy the vote of the 1 leech and at least 3 of the productive people, giving you a good majority.

With a median household income of 60k a yr, you get none of that. You get the same high deductible medical plan as everyone else, and no money towards daycare. The pregnancy will cost at least your deductible, plus lab tests that often aren't covered. After that, daycare is about $1k a month, and you don't get assistance with that. At 60k a yr, you're probably bringing home about 50k/yr after taxes, because you'll get the break for having a kid, lets just say 4200/month.

    For florida, this is accurate:

$400/month to insurance, $1000 to daycare, $1000 to mortgage, $200 car payment, $150 car insurance, $1000 food/diapers/clothes----you're at 3750, leaving $450 for gas or whatever else goes wrong.

That's not enough margin to reproduce. Like I said, smart enough to realize they can't do it, but not smart enough to know why. I think my definition of "lower tier working class" is probably different since I assume people below median income just aren't really working much.

Exactly, the middle class get ****ed, while the upper income, and government benefits class are able to absorb the costs or have them covered.

Also, those two classes are able to have the mom stay home to raise the kid, while middle class has to place them in daycare.

I truly don’t know how those households making between 45 - 70k can make it. It’s got to be extremely tough and on a shoe string budget.

Looks like they're just not starting at all in my perspective and that is very sad because America dies with them.

Birthdates are declining for people with high iq’s and to make up for it, we are importing people who have low iq.

This is all part of the plan to dumb down the population so we’re nothing but dumb cattle who only care about consuming and fukking (we’re easier to enslave this way)

Can confirm, as a 1 parent earner (stay at home wife because daycare is stupid expensive) sitting between 70-85k/year in Baltimore area, depending on OT/Bonuses, the budget gets stretched to the limit and you have to pick and choose what insurance you get. The "good insurance" costs you $400-$600/month and the "affordable" insurance costs you $200-$350/month but then god forbid you come down with a cold or have to go to the doctor for more than yearly physicals.

Good news is that I just refinanced, and converting to wife to stay at home saw me go from getting a net 0 on my taxes (because the joint income pushed us into a higher bracket, but her taxes didn't cover the rate) to $3,200 + child stimulus so I'll have some more money to stash away. Your example income didn't account for at least 10% going into a 401k or something of the sort as well, so your extra $450 a month doesn't exist.

Its rough, but a promotion this year should bump me up to 6 figures and that'll make it a little easier. No clue how people making 50k/year have children. There must just be debt up to their eyeballs
