Your life is worth nothing in the eyes of the law. Most of these murders are from people with extensive lists of felonies. Catch and release, jails clogged, just spin them in and out.

People getting out of jail for first degree murder in some countries after 13-15 years. Imagine your parents or child's life is worth only a decade or so of jail?

Some bitch on her phone plowing into your 4 year old while doing twice the limit gets 3 years. Someone just cold-heatedly killing someone in a robbery somehow was allowed out after 6 felonies.

There is more empathy and benefits for animals than normal hard-working, law-abiding citizens. Even dropping it down some tiers to noisy neighbors who don't give a fuk, the law does everything it can to protect them rather than the people they affect.
