Rochelle Walensky, the director of the federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), warned on Monday that a recent increase in coronavirus cases indicated a “fourth surge” could occur before a majority of the US is vaccinated.
“At this level of cases, with variants spreading, we stand to completely lose the hard-earned ground we have gained,” Walensky said, during a White House briefing.
Now is not the time to relax the critical safeguards that we know can stop the spread of Covid-19 in our communities, not when we are so close. We have the ability to stop a potential fourth surge of cases in this country.”
According to Johns Hopkins University, the US has recorded more than 28.5m Covid-19 cases and nearly 513,000 deaths. Daily case numbers fell steeply after a peak in January but have started to increase again.

Was going to make a thread with an official prediction but I guess I’ll just go ahead and make it here. There will certainly be another surge. Reason being, allergy season is coming up so tons of people will be getting tested. And, since we still use tests that are way too sensitive, the number of positive cases recorded will go way up. And of course people in power will use the numbers to continue pushing out a narrative of fear, push for mandatory vaccinations, extend mask mandates and other measures, and otherwise just continue with their fukkery.

No, the WHO announced that higher CTs can generate false positives so they suggested lowering the CT....So basically all these so called "cases" were BS, not all of them but for every one that was legit there were many more that were not.Originally Posted by jtaylor2010

They said that the higher the CT the more likely it will be generating a false positive which was already known, any CT 35 or higher increases the chance of generating a false positive and the WHO suggested using a CT of 45 but then came out and said to lower it which explains why all of a sudden "cases" have dropped. The whole getting tested again if you test positive if you show no symptoms was implemented from the start because they knew the PCR test is not a diagnostic tool for this type of thing.Originally Posted by jtaylor2010
