Obviously, Covid is still around. Given your states current situation, if masks were no longer required, would you still wear one?

My governor has left the mask decision up to the individual counties. My county lifted the mask order this past week. I will continue to wear a mask when I go indoors. I just don't think that this is over and expect it to be 6-8 more months before most get vaccinated and we have some herd immunity here in the US. Haven't past pandemics lasted roughly two years?

My state never required them, except I think in restaurants while not at your table. Far as I can tell.
I mostly wear one when indoors because most places ask that you do.
I respect private property Rights, and it's so easy to do. Fortunately I'm not an obese fat fuk who suffocates from wearing a mask while walking through Walmart (I don't even need a scooter!)Last edited by Farley1324; 03-02-2021 at 03:00 PM.

I'll wear one in certain situations for awhile, like waiting in line at the Dollar General. Honestly l kind of want to wear one around DG Customers for the rest of my life.
Can't wait to lift without a mask.
Looks like sleepy Joe will have us (USA) all vaccinated by the summer, I scheduled a vacation for the 4th of July in a big public setting, can't wait to see people again.Don't put that on me Ricky Bobby, don't you ever put that on me.

In England, I wear one to be in compliance when entering shops and public transport, but just to walk about in public I wouldn't consider it (unless some weird circumstances meant I was stuck unavoidably close to a bunch coughing people).
Since I'm strictly methodical about hand sanitizing (plus sanitizing handles of shopping carts, baskets, etc) + nearly 1/3 of UK is vaccinated proportion rising + test confirmed that 1/15 have had it but speculated 1/7 have actually had it. I'd say being sensible and careful the risk here is low.
We'll see when or if the Brazil variant takes hold and I'll change my opinion. Until then no unnecessary mask wearing from me, and that's from someone who counts as "pro mask".

Same here.
The mask mandate impacts me very minimally though as I work from home and have a home gym. I just think the Governor (MN) has no real rhyme or reason to when he chooses to "open" and "close" things. He took a lot of heat for the schools, so no he's left it up to the individual districts (which seems pretty crazy IMO). We have districts bordering each other that are full-time 5 days and then 100% distance learning.Epic Beard Man crew

I get vaccinated next Saturday (the JJ one) but will likely wear a mask whenever in close spaces now that its more acceptable. I'll definitely wear one during flu season.

I will continue to wear one indoors for awhile longer and probably continue through flu season as well. Never really supported the idea of federal or statewide mandates but was ok with the idea of a city or county mandate.
I still don’t understand how the DHS flat out admitted that masks ruined their facial recognition surveillance state, and all the “Fck” the government” and “everything I don’t like is tyranny” types I see on my Twitter timeline didn’t fall over themselves to mask up in a world full of cameras for some measure of public privacy.Last edited by 7Seconds; 03-03-2021 at 06:30 AM.

Some interesting comments
I am of a similar mindset to Gregg, I believe the mask helps mitigate the spread of the virus. If I can possibly stop the spread in anyway by wearing a mask I will. It's no big deal to me and really no inconvenience. I think as we open up more cases will pop up and mask use may help with this.
Along the lines of Jtbny's & 7's comments, I have a friend who told me yesterday that she will be wearing one forever. She is a single Lady that lives off grid about 50 miles from the nearest town. She only makes about 20 trips to town annually but always manages to catch a flu and or a cold. This year nothing. She said wearing a mask and being more proactive with hand sanitization is a minor inconvenience compared to running a homestead while being sick. That makes total sense to me.
If Masks help as much as the experts say or even a smidgen, I think masks should be the last line of defense to go during the opening up process, apparently officials don't see it this way.Last edited by mtpockets; 03-03-2021 at 06:29 AM.

Curiosity thing here...those who say they don't mind, or "will when I go out" or "still will wear one"===do you wear one now all day? I mean, 11-13 hrs, literally all day, every minute, no taking it off, not just when required. ?
I heard a statistic that the average citizen wears one a whole 4.2 hrs per day.

I wear one indoors when I am in public spaces not at home.
When my son plays soccer in state he is required to wear a mask while playing. 4 practices a week 2 hours a day and 1-4 games most weekends. He’s been doing it since July and has had no problem with it.To resist despair

Good Question smokinal, for me it's minimal wearing and I certainly don't fit into the average category you mentioned. I would say that I wear a mask on an average about a half hour to an hour every couple of weeks. So when I say it's a minor inconvenience, it really is.
On another note, It will be interesting to see how Texas makes out with the no mask and opening up thing. Someone has to be first right?Air Force Veteran 1976 - 1999 - Cannabis Enthusiast since the 1960's

Test it out!! lol
Yeah, I'm very curious to see how that plays out for them.
Obviously, with my question, I believe that if you were forced to wear one every minute, no breaks, consistently for 11-13 hrs per day, 5 days per week, your answer would be very different. I'm in my described category and would ditch this thing in a pair of seconds if I could.
It's gonna go around, we're gonna get it, the death rate is a fraction of what they initially claimed, I know many people who tested positive without much more than feeling "blah", we're crushing the country, let's move on2017 OCB Men's Physique Open 4th place
