V8 vegetable juice good alternative for people who don't get much veggies?

I don't cook/eat much vegetables, but picked up a big rack of V8 vegetable juice today at Costco. Are they a good nutritional substitute for people that don't eat much veggies?

Meh, i’d personally rather use marinara sauce in some pasta or pizza sauce on a pizza than just drink tomato juice. Plenty of better tasting drinks IMO.

You don't get the fiber benefits of veggies by drinking V8.

I'd at least drink this version of V8. But that's just me. The other day I woke up to frozen water pipes in my house. Had to make my pre workout coffee with water from the toilet. That's pretty much representative of how every day of mine is like.

Thought about posting this question a while back but decided it might needlessly crowd the board.

I understand whole food is always the best way to go, but aside from not getting the fiber, why would anyone dismiss V8 as a supplementary thing? Most days I drink a glass in the morning with my eggs and then still cook with whole vegetables for dinner. How is that not still getting more of the (albeit fiberless) benefits of consuming vegetables?

He’s not asking if it’s a good supplement he’s asking about it being a viable replacement.

There is no data to suggest the vitamin, mineral, or phytonutrients in veggies and fruits have been maintained by processing into v8 juice

Whole natural food will always be better than processed. The juice, while having decent nutrients it lacks fiber and when you drink something it doesn’t have the satiety of something whole and non processed.

I think that's a fine routine. It may lower your risk for prostate cancer.

It should still contain plenty of vitamins and minerals too.
