Texas Governor trying to save face at the last minute after being cucked by masks for a year and after showcasing Texas’ vastly inferior electrical grid where old people died of hypothermia.
Florida took over as the best state since COVID hit and it’s not even close. Texas before was like OG 4 Loko and now it’s the current version.Lurking since '05 - the days of VS gorilla/cloud/goku threads

Some of the good reddit ones
"I’m looking for places now. This made me ready to just leave with no idea where I’ll live. I just wanna get out of here."
"Definitely on my way out. Already have some friends about to get married doing the same"
"What a slap in the face to service workers. Still haven't made the vaccine available to them, and now forcing them to go to work with a maskless public. Criminal"* Tennessee Titans* * St. Louis Cards*

Hard to say. I do believe the Brazil variant will be very dangerous in the coming months, and it is bound to come to the US. When that happens, unless we develop a vaccine for it, we are gonna have a bad time. Expect repeats of last year. Nope. IDC to ban bet on any of it. All i can do is give an educated guess of what will come.

I just can't even anymore.
Guess it is good that we still have misc.
The victimhood Olympics are exhausting.
Dear Dumbass,
Texas is nearly 40% Hispanic. Plenty of Hispanic people live in rural areas and small towns.
In my admittedly limited experience the rural areas have been the areas least concerned with mask usage vs. large population centers.
Incidentally today in local news we were told that the doses of Johnson & Johnson vaccine coming to TX are being targeted for distributions to the homeless and people in prison, aka high risk/unlikely to comply w/two dose schedule.
The Brazilian variant is concerning. And it has shown up in Oregon.

Texas is below the US average for covid deaths, so is Florida, despite both being less restrictive than other states. The shutdown at this point isn't doing a ton
I'm willing to bet the most they would see is a small spike. But with most of their seniors vaccinated and the J&J on the way, I think they're fine
Not to mention a lot of businesses will likely still require masks and there's nothing from preventing people from masking still if they want
No need to get your panties in a bunch, it's good for them to open up and we all get to see what happens. Not everyone is a scared virgin pussy like you, there are people who actually have lives they'd like to get back toThe character "Big Deeps" is an online persona. I'm about as rural as you can get and we definitely have not been concerned, nor have we been noticeably impacted. My 70 year old aunt volunteers at a hospital and said it really hasn't been much different than normal aside from a few elderly people passing. Its to be expected and they made their peace and lived a good life. Country people tend to value personal space and we don't get right in each other's grill even under normal circumstances. Just been treating it like flu season tbh.
