My employer just sent out a bulletin saying vaccinations are required July 1. What about you?

We required all forward facing employees to become vaccinated if they wanted to continue their roles. We scheduled them and their families appointments if they qualified; some of the family members declined, the most common response was "I don't want to take a shot that could go to an old person first".
Nobody had an issue, everybody wanted a vaccine as quickly as possible; we do not hire idiots.
A few people did not qualify for the requirements in Texas, but our vaccine scheduler didn't have a problem with scheduling them in March instead of February.
---
The Moderna vaccine caused a few of them to be sick for a day after the first shot. The ones that have had their second shot were a little sicker afterwards. One developed hives 10 days later.
My wife, mother in law and myself had very little side effects. A hurt arm and maybe 2 hours of sleepiness.Last edited by metroins; 03-02-2021 at 07:43 AM.

we had the vax offered and had an unexpectedly low turnout.
But here in PA the rollout has been so horrendous I couldn't imagine that we would be at anyone can get one if they want it by July 1stBoomer Rep Crew #1

LOL, fascism. This is capitalism. If that company wants to protect it's employees and/or customers from a serious public health crisis and you don't like it, work for someone else. You can screech about fascism when/where the government requires it, but companies can do what they feel best for their business.

All of you free-market, capitalist trumptards shouldn't have any problem with this; employers have the right to make this request, and employees have the right to deny it any choose to work somewhere else.
Shouldn't be that big a deal though, right OP ? I'm sure plenty of other fast food joints are hiring ?

Two more things that liberals seem to love for some reason now....over-reaching corporations and drug companies. The programming done to the leftists in this country has been absolutely amazing(in a pretty scary way) to watch.

Not to mention... the disease isn’t that deadly if you’re under 60, we’re told you can get the vaccine and still spread it, you can get the vaccine and still contract different strains, and we don’t know what the long term effects might be. No worries though, just shut up and take your shot or else lose your job. And millions of people are perfectly fine with this.

The Moderna vaccine is not complicate; if you are afraid of it, go learn about it. The technology for these vaccines have been in the making for years, they aren't new, rushed or have no information
Are you really that shallow to be unable to separate topics? They are not related in the slightest.Life is easy when you take personal responsibility

Do we know what the long term side effects are?
Do we know how long the vaccine lasts?
Does it stop you from getting the virus again?
These are all questions that someone should ask.
Yes the technology isn't new but this vaccine was rushed, anyone with a brain can see that. A novel virus and a vaccine in less than a year? Let's not forget this virus is 80-85% related to SARS and has bits of coronaviruses that cause colds so there is already a natural immunity in people with T-Cells and antibodies and the use of immune boosting supplements like Vitamin C, D, Zinc have all been shown to be effective but let's just ignore that and take the Frankenshot because the people on the talking box told you to.In Hoots We Trust.
