Finished the base game of Cinders mod for DS3 except the Soul of Cinder fight. Finished the Champion Gravetender fight, which was changed and it’s much better. The guys who made the mod did a fantastic job. If you want to replay the DS3 campaign but are tired of the vanilla game I’d recommend this mod. It feels like a brand new game.

apparently the PSP remake from what many are saying is the best if you still want the "authentic" experience except graphically modernized. I might just play that one.
I think I'm half way through FF6 but I'm playing the GBA version. Apparently the translation is better but there may be an update to improve the lower sound quality. Or the SNES version with a localization patch that improves translation. I hear mixed reviews of the FF6 remaster on PC so I'd probably stick with the GBA or SNES versions.
Only gripe I have about FF6 in general is the insane amount of random encounters that you get. You might as well just fight them because I find half the time it isn't worth fleeing because that also takes time and you also take damage. I haven't played any of the older FF games and I don't really remember FF7 but fuark mane lol. Like literally every 20 steps I'm getting into a fight. It wouldn't be so bad if dungeons didn't have forks in the road to explore or to backtrack to but it gets pretty frustrating. I guess you could say the same thing about older games in general.positivity brah crew

Got a baby dragon as pet in Pillars of Eternity. Damn this game is good and the lore behind it is vast.
Well if you get into a fight or argument, no music suddenly plays out of the air right? Really enjoy turning off the BGM in certain games like GR: Wildlands, even in Pillars of Eternity, makes you hear more of the sounds of nature in game. Makes me immerse in the game too. Also beat Witcher 1 and 2 without BGM. And I'm doing it with Witcher 3.
It's my main problem with GTA5 and CP2077, specially GTA5, the mission BGM is lulzy af, but if I turn it off, it'll affect the radio sound too.
I wouldn't turn off the BGM in games like Final Fantasy though, those kinds of games just won't be complete without the BGM.

Welp, I couldn't contain myself and just went in and bought Ghost of Sushi for base PS4. If the PC port comes out soon and I end up buying it too, I'm just gonna tell myself that Kublai Khan wasted a fuk ton more money in trying to invade Japan, just to make myself feel better.
Game is hella fun. Totally lives up to it's hype. Playing in lethal difficulty, it took me maybe 15-20 tries to clear out an enemy camp and figure out how to kill an enemy leader lol. Worth it to play in that difficulty though because it adds immersion and sense of fulfillment once you clear a camp/mission.
Yuna's voice actress (I play in Japanese audio) stole the show in my 7 hours of gameplay. Her way of speaking sounds unique and laidback which really suits her character. Not sure but I think she's speaking in a dialect. If so, I think that's a nice touch, because it's pretty sure that Tsushima has a dialect different from standard Japanese (say Tokyo).
Jin's VA is also the VA of Roronoa Zoro. Very appropriate.Last edited by M0nsterB0y; 03-27-2021 at 04:46 PM.

I wasn't even interested in it at first but youtube some months ago suddenly put this on my recommendation
then a few days ago I accidentally discovered this anime
I couldn't resist it anymore. But I'll definitely play it again when it comes to PC.
Name of the anime is Angolmois: Record of Mongol Invasion, if anyone is interested
fuk gonna order some Japanese food later for dinner before playing GoT for full immersion lulz

Encountered my first disappointment in Ghost of Tsushima. I just saved this woman and she didn't reward me with sex. Unrealistic/10.
killing physics on point
Game is like a cinematic
Strong time travel feels
I think most streamers use Obs software
which mod is that? looking good. Ive never played the original so Im curious how it feels.

it's called the satsuki yatoshi mod, square enix is having a sale on a lot of the Final Fantasy games right now and FF7 was just $6 and FFX/X2 was $12. Good value so I just picked those up. Since Square Enix drops the ball on a lot of these remasters, fanboys basically make mods for them that make the game look great. It's fun going back to these games, but with updated graphics.

I saw in Steam that Square Enix is having a sale and it's only until today. If I didn't buy Ghost of Sushi and spent a lot of money ordering Japanese food to fully immerse myself on GoT, I probably would have bought one of them games. I remember downloading a cracked version of FFVII for PC to try it and I just couldn't play it anymore with the original graphics so I dropped it, but that mod makes it very playable. I love the remake and the graphics is awesome but it losses some "final fantasy flavor" with the real-time fighting system and I can imagine that the original felt more of a fantasy world with it's style of graphics. edit: I just watched the trailer of satsuki yatoshi mod and yep I was right.
The remake makes the shanties look so real lmao that it really doesn't feel like you're in a fantasy world anymore.

haven't played the remake but I understand what you mean, inevitably with the remake and the way that they did it you are going to lose some things that made Final Fantasy 7 what it was. At least with mods you get a touch up on the graphics to make it HD without messing much the original version.
PS1 has a lot of classics but it's hard to go back to those games sometimes because those graphics haven't aged well at all. Gameplay wise still solid though.positivity brah crew

Started my second play through of Bloodborne yesterday. Idk what I did wrong the first time but the build I’m using now is shredding through every boss in under a minute. I only have 4 base game bosses excluding chalices and the final boss left. Hoping to get through those 4 and start the DLC next time I play.

NC had solid gameplay and good combat physics, but the story was far too left-leaning for me; a half-Jewish soldier with an anti-Semitic, uber racist father teams up with a mirror of the Black Panther movement to fight a caricature of "evil Nazis". I'm not a WN or anything like that and of course was from a nation which fought hard against Germany during the war, but this game was too heavy with the agenda.
