Based on what they say about him, I'd say he probably kept training while sick and it made things worse. Should have rested and recovered instead.

dana already said what everyone knows, he'll be back and is overacting due to his emotions. the dude is the type to be training with bears and **** when he's 3 years old, there is absolutely no way he stopped during covid and likely pushed himself too far. Assuming he gets healthy in the next month or two he'll be back fighting before the end of the year when that money comes dangling in front of his face..... also retiring in a sport where you're your own boss is meaningless since you can come back at any point assuming you're at least somewhat of a draw. Any fighter can come back whenever they want so I never take retirements in this sport seriously.
