When I go out I either get a king prime rib, or a beautiful tomahawk.
Ribeye is my favorite though. Flank steak cooked right and marinated correctly is a close second.
At home I cook mostly cost effective
-NY strip when it is on sale
-My go to is Chuckeye center cut because it basically a ribeye just $5.99/lb. It has to be "center cut" though. It is amazing for the price.

Filet is great when done right. It’s not easy to do right though, and I’ve found myself enjoying some nice fat ribeyes way more over the years.
I've been seeing the past in one eye and the present in the other. So, I thought I could only see patches of reality, never the whole picture. I felt like I was watching a dream I could never wake up from. Before I knew it, the dream was over.

Filet mignon, cooked in cast iron pan, starting at room temp, generously salt and peppered, seared on both sides and butter basted. Finished in an oven at 350 over a bed of freshly peeled garlic cloves then rested for at least 5 mins. Medium-rare to a looooow medium only.
