Will an hour of aerobics the day after a heavy workout screw up recovery?

Depends. It can count as active recovery or it would prolong recovery depending on other stressors in your life. Do it and see.

    Define an hour of aerobics.

Not all activities are created equal and some will definitely be less stressful and even help recovery.

That's a list of equipment. If you want a useful answer, you have to give proper context.

Which specific circuit machines and how are you doing the activities related to the above equipment in that hour (time, intensity, rotation, etc.)?

Currently I start with 15 minutes on the stairmaster, then go through the other stuff for several minutes keeping my heart rate up. If my heavy lifting is 100% then this stuff would be done at 50-60%. I'm still refining things to see what works.

    Come on man!

    We need more details.

What brand of equipment are you using? What's your star sign? What's your favourite pizza topping?

I do a 30-60 minutes of low intensity cardio most days of the week. My HR never gets about 110 BMP and I feel it aids recovery. It also allows me to take in a few more calories each day which I feel is beneficial, whether I'm cutting, bulking or maintaining. I can't stress the LOW intensity enough though; pushing it too hard for too long will certainly be detrimental to training.

It's feast or famine when it comes to cardio and strength training for me. Low, low intensity or HIIT sessions; nothing in between.

I don’t know if I’d be doing more weights the day after a heavy session.

Unless it’s so light weight and the movement pattern is different enough to prevent overuse issues.
